I got PRK back in December of 2014. Corrected my horrific like 20/200+ vision to 20/15.

My mid range vision is hit and miss though, my eyes fight for focus so sometimes things at a distance can be blurry, but nothing to the point of requiring glasses.

Yeah I'm the same as you TC, it's hit or miss but I don't need glasses. I have trouble reading stuff at a really long distance but I get by just fine. Still, I had hoped my vision would be better than it is after the surgery, it was expensive.

My MiL had it for acute angle closure glaucoma (which is probably not what you are asking about).

Know several people that had it. I could've had it done at no cost but I opted out.

Pops had it. I've been told by my Ophthalmologist that I shouldn't get it.

I did about 12 years ago. My eyes dry out faster if I have to use a computer or I'm on my phone a lot. Other than that it was easily a great decision both from a quality of life standpoint and the money I saved on contacts/glasses over the years.

I did it, and know a decent number of people who also did it. I'm at the point though that I should probably use reading glasses, but distance is still good.

I got mine for free via the Army.

I didn't even know it was something that was offered, when I joined. Soon as I found out, though, I wanted it and got it as soon as possible

Yeah I had pork done as well, like over 20 years ago. My long distance vision is still 20/20. But I am getting older, so the up close vision is taking longer to adjust. Nothing too horrible, but it can be annoying when it takes longer to focus up close.

I'll stick to my glasses. My vision's not that bad. I don't even need the glasses to see, they just help some and reduce eye strain. I can't even imagine using contacts, let alone have surgery done on my open eyes.
