This Thursday, Sept 18th, Critical Role is hosting a charity event that will be sponsored by... Ebay. It won't be Dungeons & Dragons though, but instead Daggerheart, and the guests will consist of;
Boy Meets World's Rider Strong (Shawn)
Boy Meets World's Will Friedel (Eric)
Boy Meets World's Danielle Fishel (Topanga)
Step by Step's Christine Lakin (Al)
Full House's Jodie Sweetin (Steph)

There are fundraising goals/donation amounts that will cause various things to happen in their game, and apparently during the livestream, they will also be auctioning off merch via Ebay

As for the charity they are raising money for, it is NCWIT - The National Center for Women and Information Technology

I honestly have trouble thinking of an actor who would do better in that format than Will Friedle.

Like, they exist, I'm sure Jeremy Irons could do it, but this is Friedle's exact wheelhouse.

I'm kind of sad that the dude who played Corey never seems to be involved with anything his former cast mates do.

I hope he wasn't a terrible person IRL ..

IIRC, he is and that's why.

From what I remember the others saying, it was a very sudden "no contact". There was speculation it was because he was getting into politics, but it screams "abusive partner" to me.

oh yea, I heard about the political stuff, but I didn't know he just went no contact with them.

Will, Danielle, and Rider have been doing a rewatch podcast for the past few years now. They pitched it to Ben some time before they did it, to see if he would participate, and he said it wasn't his thing. Then somewhere along the lines (I'm not clear on if this is before they started the podcast, or sometime in the early days of the podcast), Ben stopped all contact with them and the three of them have no idea why. Will has said he has the messages saved where mid conversation, Ben just stops responding to his repeated messages.

It's really bizarre, there's a lot of speculation about it, but no one knows the truth publicly.

It's my fav podcast though, and the three of them have such great chemistry. They were doing live shows for a while which were pretty fun. So this kind of event is likely related to the Podcast, and Lakin and Sweetin both have their own rewatch podcasts for their respective shows and have been guests on Pod Meets World.

For any BMW fans, I def suggest checking out the podcast. They have recapped the first 6 seasons of the show and will be starting the final, 7th season, pretty soon.

Yeah, Friedle has stated they used to talk everyday and then Ben just stopped. He even said he decided to message Ben every day until he responded but after months he realized it wasn't worth it.

BMW will always be one of my favorite shows, but I just couldnt fully get into the podcast. Idk why though because like you said they have great chemistry and it was fun to hear stories

don't listen to the guest episodes, just focus on the episodes where they recap the show, they are fantastic. Their chemistry with each other is off the charts
