Yeah we'll have to see who the shooter was before it is determined what the reaction is going to be. The fact that the person asking questions asked first about transgender shooters and then mass shootings in general before the shot seems too strange to be a coincidence.

I do know from my TikTok algorithm (they crept into my anti-Trump alogirthm somehow) that there is extreme disagreement on the far right at the moment between people like Nick Fuentes/Candance Parker/Tucker Carlson and Ben Shapiro/Charlie Kirk over Trump's strong relationship with the Israeli government. I have no idea if that played into it at all.

Thanks Elon for screwing up the internet and that video popping up in my feed without me searching it up or wanting to see it. No NSFW filter or anything.

I can't remember if it was as bad before or not (probably not) but it has been awful for a while. I left Twitter a while back both for Elon reasons but also because the horrific stuff that would randomly pop up on my feed without searching for it was way too damn high.

We didn't get gun control after twenty children under the age of 7 were killed in a single event.

I don't think this moves the needle. Except maybe in the opposite direction, where people will say they need guns even more now to protect themselves.

Oh Im mostly joking, but the one key difference is that that didnt hurt Trumps ego. Very sad that it is a factor we must consider.

I think I've found the words to say without getting modded.

Recent history has shown that you can be the absolute worst person and face no consequences. Often they get rewarded, like that lady who called a black kid a hard r and then made a few million on GoFundMe. Or *gestures vaguely at the presidency*

Maybe this will be a wake up call that they can't be complete assholes all the time.

I don't believe Trump cares about his political allies beyond how they may be of use to him. Some people will be genuinely sad but I don't think Trump will be one of them

I jokingly said to the guy who showed me the video that Trump must have put the hit out on him to change the news cycle and he just said he wouldn't be surprised. The guy who showed me is ex-military and Republican

He also said immediately after showing me that the person who took the shot was likely highly trained because they are told to aim for mouth or neck because its instant. And a random person likely wouldn't aim for that area (although someone fanatical I'm sure would do their research)

My guy this is a wierd amount of virtue signaling when you're the one who signed the permitless open carry law for Utah 4 years ago.

Kind of wild he opens this talking about all the assassinations and attempts on Dems recently (I bet even you forgot someone burned down Josh Shapiro's house this year!), but he was a pretty moderate R who openly opposed Trump until recently when he bent the knee like everyone else.
