Raw milk should basically only be used in making certain cheeses and that's about it.

It was labeled not for human consumption, the risks of raw milk are well known and the article says "You cannot display raw milk as if for human consumption. (It cannot be next to pasteurized milk etc). You must have warnings and signage. The department does market checks to be sure their rules are being followed. If these rules were followed, her lawsuit should be thrown out.

If you go ahead and consume something that is clearly labeled as not for people just because some random, minimum wage grocery store clerk said that you can ignore the warnings, that's on you. That's just plain dumb. It's awful that she lost her baby. It's a terrible trauma that I'm sorry she experienced. But it sounds like this was her fault.

Not a lawyer but I don't see how she has a case against the farm. Might have a case against the store, but even then they might just get by with the employee being ignorant as "It's a technicality to sell it" isn't suggesting it's a good idea for a human to consume.

For anyone curious in the article she makes it out as if she innocently found the milk in a store without any pre-knowledge and elected to drink milk labled "not for human consumption" that is regulated by the florida state government because she asked a store employee and they said that it was only a technical requirement to sell farm milk.

Now I'm just gonna say I think she is lying, because normal people wouldn't feel driven to purchase something that says "not for human consumption" and give it to their kids and family members.

Unpasteurized milk mostly men for livestock. If it gets a little warm you'll probably get listeria or e. coli or maybe even Bovine Tuberculosis. Some bullshit about the protein in milk being denatured in Milk even though you can get protein from fuckin' Meat, beans, legumes, lentils. As long as it isn't soy products, conservatives think soy turns you gay.

Anyway, Conservatives want it because they've accidentally horseshoed around to granola hippies and bohemians when it comes to some things that are a fad to be "natural" like food, but even weirdly cooking with "natural gas", eating only red meat, drinking from a hose and swimming in "natural" bodies of water that can have brain eating amoeba in it, mostly because those things have "expert" consensus to not do those things as they could be harmful (the gas stove one only being about needing to ventilate your stove and that's more expensive than just getting an electric stove but they won't let the gay atheist libs take away huffing natural gas fumes unless it's over their cold dead body!)

It's a cheese that requires raw milk to make. Like I said earlier, certain cheeses are like the only use for raw milk in my estimation. Certainly not all cheeses that are made with raw milk are safe though.
