We had a protest at the Israeli embassy.. but sometimes I just get depressed about this. I've been doing everything I can to help stop this genocide and I feel so drained. Probably gonna pray and take some choice substances. I dunno. Can't really tell people cuz I gotta keep up the positive front. To gamefaqs i go lol.

What kind of choice substances are you planning to take? Soda? Alcohol?

You're 1000% right, but sometimes I gotta vent. People look to me for support and (sometimes) leadership, so I can't really vent in person.

Nah I'm secretly 100 years old. Seriously though, I'm early 30s -- and I only recently (last 10 years) really learned about this. Feel guilty about that too tbh.

Thanks. I do have a support system.. but i can't really burden them with this right now. Honestly I just feel like everything is pointless. I've put hours and hours into stopping this, put a chunk of my own money into this because I believe in the cause. I show up. Same way I was there when we had BLM protests and we got gassed. Same way I was there when Roe v. Wade got trashed and I showed to support the women who were protesting. I'm not black and I'm not a woman. I believe in just trying to be a good person as much as I can. I sit every day and I watch this decay over and over as things get worse and worse, still I fight... but it's like I'm putting up sandbags to stop a tsunami. I know that we all have to keep the faith and fight on.. I just feel weak and kinda sad.

Ignore that guy, TC. You are going up against very powerful forces and a callous, uncaring system that profits from suffering. It's not going to be easy to change any of that, but it can't change without people like you that reject cynicism and apathy.

Make sure you take care of yourself and analyze where you can be most effective without burning the candle at both ends. You are on the right side and the people you are fighting against and the people that tell you its useless will later claim they were on the right side too.

TC -- you absolute legend, you: thanks for standing up. Thanks for going out there. Thanks for telling them we won't let them keep killing and we won't forget.

You already know it but you aren't alone! We are resisting together. We have our solidarity. Hold onto it when you are feeling this. It's what I do.

For what it's worth, as someone who doesn't really have the option to protest, seeing all of these protests and the people fighting to make a difference makes me feel better about humanity. I guess it comes back to the Mr. Rogers "Look for the helpers" quote. I know evil people are out there doing awful stuff, but I also know good people are out there trying to stop it.

Honestly thanks to everyone for the encouraging words. I feel a lot better. I took some time to disconnect (still had to deal with the increased DC patrols lol) and now I'm ready to keep on going.

More can always be done, but that doesn't invalidate what you have done, which is more than most. On top of that, you do have to put yourself first, you can't help anyone if you in turn need help.

Resistance movements often take many years to build up enough momentum to overthrow tyranny. Pace yourself for the long haul.

There are a lot mpre of you than of them when its the people vs the rich. You're the storm and they have the sandbags. They can't hold out forever.

If you aren't getting through you just have to blow harder.
