- I like the cognitive being who's just a talentless hack youtube streamer, and tells you to subscribe as he leaves. It means Maruki knows about hack youtube channels.
- So, what was with when Makoto was like "It's odd how much Kasumi eats, that's more than a gymnast needs to" and "Kasumi" shuts it down? Because that wasn't really followed up on. Does it get followed up on later?
- This RBG puzzle was the first time I just decided to not bother getting a treasure chest I could see, because I just didn't want to figure out how to go through the puzzle for it. I still got the will seeds, though.
- "This is just a quick visit out of spite."
- I like how the deepest part of Maruki's cognition is Eden. But how is the audience going to understand what Eden and Adam and Eve are without a detailed explanation? We need Major Zero here.
- "I get that idols are important, but there's more to life." Ryuji, I would call idols as among the least important things in the world.
- Is there any point to fighting Jose?

- lol Sumire speedrunning through her three personas.
- Maruki shows up and says "the real Akechi died, this one is one I made up for my reality like with the other party members' parents. But don't ask why the dead parents all disappeared once their kids woke up, while Akechi stays here even when both of you know."
- I like how casual and resigned Maruki is.
- I like Maruki's ridiculous mask-crown or whatever it is... though I don't know what kind of "symbol of rebellion" it is.
- Ryuji did 1776 damage with a charged God's Hand, very American of him.

- Third freeze during the Maruki battle. This may not be meant to be. If this happens again, I'm calling it, even if I'm literally at the end of the game, and just watching a youtube video of the ending.

- Adam Kadman tries to punch us, so everyone puts up their hands and summons an energy shield (???) to stall it while Joker attacks.
- Joker, you already defeated a final boss with a gun attack, this is clearly your move when it doesn't need to be.
- Morgana turns into a helicopter (???) and flies them away while the palace collapses. I like how the characters are also confused by this. Maruki summons another tentacle to stop the helicopter from escaping, and Joker goes down to fight him.
- Maruki says "Let's have one final boss fight phase where it's just the two of us punching each other in turns while talking" and Joker says "Like in MGS4?" and Maruki says "Yes but not done as well."
- Lavenza says "because you beat Maruki, we'll go back to the ending of the original game where you went to prison, except now Sumire exists."
- Everyone Joker made friends with comes together to say, in individual scenes that have no connection to each other, that they want to help Joker.
- "The final arcana you have acquired is the World. It is the power for an individual to stand on their own two feet, swayed by none." No, Lavenza, it's the power to stop time for about 2-6 seconds.
- "My most prized treasure is the justice I use to protect those important to me." Maybe the real treasure was the friends we made along the way.
- Sojiro, you own a yellow car? ... Well, okay.
- Wow, Sojiro sure does figure out quickly what's going on just by seeing Kawakami walk into his cafe while Joker is around.
- The next day, all of the rejected waifus ambush Joker one-by-one and give him chocolate.
- Joker goes one-by-one to say goodbye to everyone.
- Didn't Lavenza disappear into a poof of light as the Metaverse dissolved? I'm just saying that having her just casually be there in the street is whatever.
- Maruki shows up in the final anime cutscene to say that he's still alive, and Surime drops by for five seconds to apologize for not being in the rest of the cutscene so they could reuse animation from the original game.
- In the postcredit scene, Akechi shows up for one second to establish that he also survived somehow, don't ask for details.

Thoughts:
- Royal's third semester was okay. It's better P4G's third semester, which is actually a full semester, and goes on for waaaaaaaaaaaay too long. This one doesn't overstay its welcome.
- I like how the entire thing with Maruki almost feels like a wrap-up instead of the proper finale? Like the Scouring of the Shire.
- Sumire is whatever. Complete nothing of a character. Inoffensive, but totally uninteresting. Her only contribution to the story is to have a twist involving Maruki's actions before the third semester. And the fact that she only joins you for the final dungeon is completely insane, how do you add a character that pointless?
- Everything added with Akechi felt like they just wanted to capitalize on how people liked him in the original version. I remember in Arena Ultimax, they do as much as they possibly can with Adachi without redeeming him because they clearly thought he was irredeemable, and it's like, bro, Akechi killed way more people than Adachi. Akechi is responsible for everyone who dies in the subway accident at the start of the game!
- Overall, it was fun, but not really worth replaying all of P5 for. But at least I'm fully caught up on the important Persona games. I will probably *not* replay Persona 4 a third time unless I go completely insane, I've already played the original and Golden, I don't need Revival or whatever it's called. Also uncertain if I'll ever touch Phantom X. I'm anti-gacha in general, and certainly I am burned out on Persona for a while.
- Are any of Royal's additions even canon? Because I played Strikers and Tactica, and none of this is mentioned ever.

There's Royal DLC for Tactica I believe.

I do think Haru had more potential that was underused, but that's the way it goes.

It's a little complicated, because they each do certain things better than the others.

• Style/Atmosphere: 5 > 3 > 4
• Setting: 4 > 5 > 3
• Story: 3 > 4 > 5
• Party Characters: 4 > 3 > 5
• Social-Links/Confidants: 5 > 3 > 4
• Bonus Postgame Thing: 5 > 4 > 3

Not even bothering with gameplay, since P3R just took P5's gameplay as closely as possible, and I'm sure P4R will as well.

It was originally a protest signature. At the time, everyone kept making sigs of "not changing this until X happens," and then they'd change it a week later.
