maybe a tiny chance its just badly done hand drawn art but almost 100% looks like shit AI

Dunno how these devs keep getting work after releasing such a buggy remake of Panzer Dragoon, one of the worst remakes ever in Hosue of the Dead, and a bad Front Mission 1 remake and an AI translation filled Front Mission 2 remake

Aren't they switch only too? Or at least Front Mission 3 is upon release. I want to try Front Mission 5 again and I just don't have the patience for these anymore as if I did back then. I remember not getting very far in 4. Plus there is so much downtime. I save scummed the crap outta Front Mission 5 for parts of the game it was hilarious it let me.

As someone who's messed around with ai.... its extremely easy to actually make good stuff actually doing your own work on top of it and mixing it up, this is just plain laziness and uncaring, and they just said "ehhh good enough"

I expect a lot of remasters just get fed through an AI upscaler especially from Square. Wasn't that a problem with Chrono Cross at least it wasn't very much and came with Radical Dreamers.

Not defending the practice just I think ppl are very aware of lazy AI upscale and certainly frame rates. So it is kinda silly whereas wasn't Front Mission 3 the first one released in the United States. Ya'd think more care would be put into it to appease the American fans who played that first.

That's my primary problem with AI art for these businesses. I understand it saves time, and even I can use AI to make something passable as a baseline fairly quickly, then with minimal effort you can make something actually good.

Problem is these companies stop at passable.

Oh wow, I completely missed that the release date was the 26th....

The combat physics are improved from what they first showed at TGS 2024, but it's still so bad. Front Mission 3 is one of my all time favorite games and they aren't doing it justice at all

AFAIK 5 is the last in the proper series but there are spinoff and even a MMO.
