Snowball Fight Zero (but with a 1 in front of the zero) - Delita Heiral Ritz roamed the snowy plains of Smiffficia, and out of the corner of her eye she caught a man who was moving in straight lines, turning 90 degrees, and then moving in yet another straight line - zigzags, essentially. Could it really be? Another member of the Tactics Advance Squad? She made her way over, having been freed from the shackles of isometric movement by virtue of being the lead character of poorly written fanfiction. She got near the man clad in golden armor but he was just repeating to himself "Poor Ramza... Poor Ramza... Poor Ramza..." the man had clearly lost someone dear to him. Also his mind. She reached up and slapped him to knock him out of it, and in a stupor he muttered "Wait... Huh... Where am I?" "You're safe now, I'm Ritz. Are you from Ivalice?" asked Ritz, knowing that his safety was a complete dereliction of the truth. She had yet to decide his fate, and she was ready to commit yet another atrocity at a moment's notice. "I... I'm Delita... And yes, I'm from Ivalice..." The conversation continued, the details being lost in the fact that the author of this message had as little creativity as the FFTA development team today. Ritz quickly realized that this man wasn't from the same Ivalice as her, and was Team Tactics, not Tactics Advance. Given this discrepancy, she had but one choice. The man was still in a daze, so she wasn't too concerned about the difficulty level. It was like someone set things to 'Easy' in the settings menu. As easy as putting a child back in a wheelchair. Given she had already revealed her trump card in her previous fight, she decided that she could get away with a similar murder without boring the readers. She promised herself tomorrow's snowball fight would be different. And so she cast Snowballtima on yes, poor Delita... Soon, Delita was covered in a deep snow bank, which he could no longer withdraw from. Ritz carried on her way after making such a huge deposit, and hoped that this particular snowball fight would earn her some interest. --- we're all buds~jc~ <DeathChicken> you are my hero for being the first person to cite National Geographic in Mercs ... SMFFFCC Card Club Match 12 Opponent: Delita Hyral Region: Lesalia Rules: Closed, Same, Elemental, One Quistis wandered the streets of the royal capital of Ivalice. She had never been here before, but it had recently made big news. The nation was seemingly coming back to life, so she wanted to come see what all the hype was about. The layout of the land was very interesting. It almost seemed to be laid out like a grid, which made it relatively easy to navigate, but it was still unusual. The people of Ivalice had a wide range of dialects. Some of them spoke in plain, everyday language that Quistis could understand, although sometimes words were out of place or pronounced incorrectly. Others spoke in such flowery language that it felt like it took them an entire paragraph just to give a simple greeting. She didn't understand how these people coexisted with each other. Hopefully some new third dialect that combined the best of both worlds would someday manifest itself. As Quistis ruminated on the culture of Ivalice, she accidentally bumped into someone. He was a man with a tanned complexion, and his hair was slicked back. (Huh, don't see that hairstyle around much anymore.) He also had a somber expression on his face. "Excuse me," she apologized. "I didn't see you there. It's my first time in this city, and I'm just trying to take it all in." "No problem," he replied. "What brings you to Lesalia?" "I'm on a personal journey, and my travels have brought me here." "That didn't really answer my question," the man probed. (Why is he so interested in why I'm here?) Quistis had a feeling that there was more to this person than meets the eye. "If you must know, I'm an avid player of a card game called Triple Triad. I'm searching for skilled challengers, as well as trying to spread the game to a wider audience." "I see. I'm willing to be your opponent," the man offered. "Oh? Have you played before?" Quistis asked. "No, but I'm sure I can pick it up. I'm pretty good at strategy and reading people. Teach me the basics, and I'll figure it out." Having done that, the game began. Quistis thought this man must have been overstating his talents, but she quickly discovered that he was every bit as good as he claimed. Had he really never played Triple Triad before? Fortunately, Quistis was able to use the Same rule and her Jack Garland card to secure victory. She breathed a quiet sigh of relief. That was closer than she had anticipated. "Good game," the man said. "This is called Triple Triad, you said? Interesting. I could see this catching on in Ivalice. I'll have to make sure to get these cards available in shops." Quistis was convinced that this person wielded some measure of influence in Ivalice if he was talking that way. "By the way, I never properly introduced myself. My name is Quistis." "Delita," he replied simply. "Thanks for the game. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time here." With that, he walked off. (Wait, did he say his name was Delita? As in, the King of Ivalice?
