When I was a kid I bought (transl: got my parents to buy) some Rare Candy Pokmon cards off eBay to use in a tournament. (They were rare and quite expensive back then).

Turned out they were from a World Championship deck, and not legal for tournaments.

Zero Time Dilemma.

It wasn't *terrible* on its own, certainly not a great or satisfying experience but not the worst way I've used my time. But it was not the decisive conclusion to the Zero Escape series that we were promised. I read once that Uchikoshi wanted players to be able to start with any one of the three, and that's a noble idea, but, 1) VLR was already not fit as a starting point and 2) the overarching story of the series suffered for it.

also, I like open world rpgs. There still arent exactly a ton, we are lucky that there are kdc2 and cyberpunk and not just beth games right now. I like avowed, but I wouldnt really count it its no respawning enemies makes it almost more like levels, and it just has a different feel in general.

that new tainted grail game looks like it might be interesting though

I played this for the first time just a couple of years ago (knowing everyone was mad about the ending), and I honestly don't even remember what the ending was

C&C not having any base building, which was the defining mechanic of the series

for me another things i still am annoyed is we never got to beat the shit out of a certain character cuz the game was rushed out too soon in breath of fire 4 the final chapter felt like it was being speedrun

The Zune deserved more respect than it got.

You know what? I am still a bit bitter about Majoras Mask. The game is fun but the final boss battle is anticlimactic. It was quite a bummer back in the day.

You get the sword in mgs2 literally right before the game ends. You basically get to use it once and that's it.

It's weird, I really enjoyed playing through it, right up until some stuff at the end. In retrospect, I felt like the whole thing kinda sucked, at least compared to the first two. Uchikoshi going "everything will be answered in the third game" and then not answering anything certainly didn't help.

We got some good memes out of it, at least.

I will make exceptions if I have a reason to believe I'll like it. Other it's minis set prior to that or alternative continuity titles like:
- Ultimate Spider-Man (2023 series still ongoing)

- The Amazing Spider-Man Renew Your Vows

- Spider-Girl

Instead of sticking with the mainline version just to complain about it.

John Byrnes' run aside from ASM V2 #6-7 not so good either. Heck, beside comics of old having heavy politics, Marvel had their own especially emphasizing that Peter is forever young. Basically crime fighting Peter Pan.

I definitely think it had a solid enough foundation that it could've stood next to 999 and VLR. It had a strong, darker tone than the other entries, owed in part to the random chance involved in decisions that made them feel unfair. Which is to say, I think its early parts worked *great*.

I would say that most if not all of its major problems could've been solved if it had been given about twice the length. More than anything, it needed more time to set up its endgame twists and tie up the rest of the series' loose ends.

It's just...well. You can pinpoint the exact moment where everything started falling apart, and there just wasn't *enough* after that when it should've been the point where all those answers started flooding in.

For the finale, Light briefly glimpses the future observing game events that didn't get adapted (4-10 and such), then a glimpse of X, Zero, ZX and Legends.

Yeah, i miss that comic. I'm actually salty about how they said it was going on hiatus and then never mentioned it again ever.

Nesr the beginning of grade 8, we had a gym class replaced with English or Math or something boring like that for reasons I don't remember and our teacher promised us that we would have a bonus gym class to make up for it. We never did that entire school year.

Chrono Trigger DS version and what they did with Dalton.

Admittedly this isn't 10+ years but it is 8 years.

I was a massive fan of the Hot Shots Golf series since the original on PS1 in 1998. As far as main console games go, they had 2 games on PS1, 2 games on PS2 and 1 game on PS3 but then later ported a really good Vita title to PS3 as well giving it two titles.

The PS3 title was Out of Bounds and it was the best in the series by far. Simply amazing. It came out in 2008. I played it for thousands of hours for years with a friend playing it weekly for 5 years until the server was killed. Best game ever.

We waited and waited and waited on a PS4 title and finally after 9 fucking years they gave us one and it was DOGSHIT. They completely changed and ruined everything about the series they had spent 20 years building. It is fucking horrible and no long time fan that I knew liked it. They all thought it was terrible. We waited 9 years to just be incredibly disappointed.

They never had a robust online tournament mode like 5 did. It was the last title developer Clap Hanz worked on. That was 8 years ago. So we waited 9 years to get shit and that shit is now 8 years old. We haven't seen a main console proper Hot Shots Golf game since 2008 and I'm fucking bitter about it.

I'm normally very laid back and chill and non vocal about complaints, but I whine about this one. My friend and I still talk about this regularly to this day and both grumble about it. There is actually a new game slated to come out this year, but Clap Hanz is not involved and they were the devs since the 2nd game in 2000. Them not being involved doesn't give me confidence. From a trailer it looks like they are trying to rectify some of the damage of the shitty ps4 game and ditched avatars to go back to set characters which is a big plus. But it still looks like it is traditional swing only and it remains to be seen if they will change other shitty mechanics they brought into that atrocious PS4 game.

So yeah long drawn out way to say I'm salty. I'm very salty.
