Finished 3.4 Story last night.

Saw dot buff, took dot team. Didn't go very well despite Kafka buffs, E1 Swan, E1 RM. Not really sure what to do here, just didn't have the damage to kill the clones. Maybe build issue, Black Swan also feels pretty bad here because since she owns her own dot damage she usually gets the extra turn from the marked enemy and her turns just dont do anything. This is also possibly preemptive Hysliens shilling.

At any rate Phainon obliterated his side and could likely do even better (instant ult charge is very funny on him), and I could have just nuked first half with Cas (and probably Aglaea) anyways.

Those Kafka buffs definitely were a big help. Her FuAs really do a chunk now, and she's firing them off like crazy. I feel like in the past AS, I had trouble doing enough damage to kill the boss after the weakness broke, but not this time!

And lol Phainon is insane. I've never had damage even remotely close to this anywhere outside of DU/SU. I think this is the first time I've cleared all of the endgame modes with 12 stars.

And then I used the jades I got from AS to pull E2 Phainon, so now he'll be even dumber! Absolutely insane luck I've had on this banner. I won 5 50/50s in a row, and I don't think I ever reached pity. All in 200 pulls (just reached enough to get the Archer light cone). Thank you, Mr. Phainon! I sure hope nothing bad happens to you when I finish up this patch's story!

I like that there's some fun stuff you can do against some bosses with Phainon like when the Doomsday beast started charging its ult I can use counter to deliberately advance the action so it does like no damage and then counter + meteor. Very cool looking

TIL Jade's cap is just REALLY high for some reason you just usually never see it because she uses them to attack. She must still build them off field while Phainon ult is going. I know mem charge builds which is a decent combo

Did 50 more pulls on the Phainon banner, get the 5 star animation, Destruction logo....! Blade. Wrong Destruction edgelord, game! Actually quite happy to lose 50/50 to Blade, though I don't think I have any relics for this guy and I sure won't have time to farm them anytime soon.

Absolutely want to save the guarantee for Hysliens so I threw 60 more pulls at Phainon's LC instead...Bailu cone. Devastating. Burned through all my luck with him and Aglaea's cone coming so early I suppose.

Only need 40 pulls for Archer LC so hopefully don't have to go to pity again...

If it helps, as someone who caved, he's actually not FANTASTIC right now. Obviously he's a powerful new unit, but he doesn't have the supports he really wants yet. He's not in as good a place as....any of the other Amphoreus units, relative to their roles.

Weird experience with Apocalyptic Shadow. I wanted to try new Jingliu so I ended up running Therta/Jade/Tribbie/Fu Xuan side 1 and Jingliu/Bronya/Ruan Mei/Hyacine on side 2. The surprising result of this was that Jingliu held her own while my Therta team got absolutely dumpstered by Flame Reaver. Didn't even get 3 stars on this attempt.

Switched to Castorice/Remembrance MC/Tribbie/Hyacine for side 1 and Therta/Anaxa/Ruan Mei/Fu Xuan for side 2 and it was a cakewalk. My Therta/Anaxa team did better than my Jingliu team on side 2 but not by much--all the difference was in side 1 where Castorice managed something like 700 points better than Therta. I suspect this fight is just an account check to see if you have Castorice unless there's some weird mechanic to the fight I don't understand.

Edit: Maybe I could see Aglaea working actually. I do not have her though.

Phew only 20 more pulls needed for Phainon S1. Put 20 more on Sunday LC banner just to hit the 200 and I'm back to saving mode for 3.5.

I heard pity from the Fate banner will cross overinto the next collab banner?! Probably wont be Fate level and just like a collab with Honkai Impact or Genshin or something, but didnt expect another.

There's currently no plans for the banner to end at a specific date. Originally they had talked about it last at least through 3.6" or something like that, but that wording has changed over the last few updates. I think the event is also permenant content.

I won't be surprised if it just stay up forbwe until the next collab, yeah. The maybe they'll cycle back and forth? Depends on the licensing I suppose.

E2 Saber so far!

Even with the majority of the fight being 4-5 enemies in screen, Archer is obliterating this Reaver Apocoyotic Shadow like nobody's business.

Saber I have to do some work on, definitely don't have her optimized, not even in the right set. Back to the Relic mines!

Can I still beat everything with Rappa/Fugue?

Got Saber and 2 copies of her LC (double 5*) in about 130 pulls. Well take that. Now to spend the rest of my life in CoC because she and Sunday still need gear, and Robin/Huohuo probably need updating as well

Got Saber. Won 50/50 at around 80 or so pity. Kind of want to pull for her light cone also, but I'm basically out of jades and still want Phainon a little bit. Don't know what I'll do.

The quintessential HSR experience.

These units are an absolute joy in DU.

Been messing around more. Archer is so fucking wild sometimes. Saber can also be nuts, it just requires very specific timing. In fact I don't know if there's any other unit in the game that this finicky. The difference of 1 pip of energy from being hit could be the difference between a wild max buff combo and just a total wiff, and more often than not it's because you DON'T actually want that energy yet because you're not ready for her auto advance.
