It's this cast's way of saying "This ain't your season, it's ours" to her, and it's pretty great tbh. She's showing that she's a fraud since she hasn't found an in. She hasn't been able to influence anybody and, even when on the bottom, a good player can at least get something to stick to improve their position. Amy and Jimmy were evicted because of their proximity to Rachel, so literally nobody wants to be next in that sequence. That's why Ava is listening to Mickey and Will before Rachel. Ava doesn't want to be on her way out next because that's what happens to Rachel's allies. It's sorta like what Savai'i did to Ozzy in South Pacific - they voted out his cuddle buddies and forced him to win challenges for them. And this was optimal because Redemption Island was in play and the absolute LAST thing Jim Rice wanted was a pissed-off Ozzy going on a tear there. Rachel is much the same way here. They want her to be delusional enough to think she actually has sway when she does not. And I don't think anyone outright hates her - they just hate the fact that she's there, and they don't want a legend overshadowing what was supposed to be THEIR season. Ergo, anyone who Rachel has a public F2 with has gotta go. So bye, Amy. Bye, Jimmy. Bye anyone else who does that! (Ashley might be next tbh.) She also wondered why a lot of the people who did go on it didn't read the fine print - again, she only needed to read half of that contract to know that the show was sketchy. And then look what happened. I'm guessing she's back because she was offered $25,000 up front, and she just can't help herself but go on Big Brother when given the opportunity. She is a diva who thinks she's the best BB player ever, when we all know her win has a big fat asterisk next to it. Will say it's pretty funny how she's a floater this season, though! Also, and this is minor feeds spoilers so I'm tagging it... ~~over the past two days, more and more people are hopping on board with the "let's get rid of Rachel soon" train. So she may be gone pre-jury after all.~~ On another note... I am really not feeling this season at this point tbh. There was that wild period from Rylie being dethroned through the two hours after Jimmy being nominated, but aside from that this cast is just not clicking. And that may be why they brought Rachel in: They knew she'd stir shit, and that they needed somebody to. But she's more subdued in doing so since she fears this group would evict her for burning the place down, so she's gonna wait until she wins HoH. That may not happen, though. This whole thing may be the case of Grodner wanting to "spice things up" and having the exact opposite effect - because someone who stands out is there, nobody in this group wants to stand out even more, else they will be in the crosshairs next. Really wish they'd have found someone like Tucker or Angela last season who was there to be entertaining. It's honestly has been giving me BMC/Amber vibes for a while, but Rylie has a lot more charm than BMC ever did. And that's why Kat feels more trapped than Amber ever did. Strategically, he's a good shield for her, and if she shot him down, she has no idea what would become of it. I think she's afraid of him being obsessed with her anyway, so she might as well keep him under her control. And if she has someone willing to die for her, it's certainly better than having a stalker in a small, cramped environment. But for similar, but not entirely the same circumstances... gotta give Lauren mad respect here. Zach is willing to fall on the sword for her, just like Rylie is for Kat, but Lauren's found some way to prevent a hook-up that puts a target on her back while still maintaining that alliance as a shield. The key difference is of course that Zach is a nice guy, while Rylie is a creep. Zach respects Lauren's boundaries, while Rylie physically melted Kat's down. Also, Rachel is always whiny. It just makes more sense this time because of how little traction they're allowing her to get. That going on for long enough would make anyone whiny. Rachel fighting with Morgan was a pretty stupid move for her, since Morgan has a lot of connections that Rachel does not. Rachel's unwarranted cockiness, however... that's making her a fair amount of enemies, and not just Morgan. Do gotta say, Vinny's costume is something else. He can't get up or down without somebody helping him. Keanu's is humorous, too, but his stint is typical fare. It's made feeds interesting. Rachel and Zach's thing was not on feeds because production sucks. I do agree Lauren made a dumb game move to use the Veto, and I know she's a floater. I am very frustrated by her as a player and despite me trying to will some smarter thoughts into the cosmos, it's not working. So while watching her play is getting rough on me, I still adore her as a person. I need to find a girl like that, one who's a bit older though. ~~My point stands about Rachel having made Lauren her enemy regardless of whether or not the Veto was used.~~ --- Help control the pet population. I~~ ~~cannot~~ ~~believe it was Sarah that voted George and not Kirby. Eps 2 and 3 tribals have been absolutely fucking phenomenal. The Australians are showing the World how it's~~ ~~done~~ while the dynamics on World are just so... predictable? Lisa/Cirie is the only alliance worth giving a damn about over there. Lisa is my current winner pick. Everyone is going to ignore her which is exactly what happened in NZ2 (also I met her for like 15 seconds at the NZ2 live finale and have a buff that was signed by her - though it's since worn off - so I'm biased. My entire interaction with her was congratulating her on the win and complimenting the RHAP shirt she was wearing). What a way to start the season. Also just looked at a confessional count chart and ~~Parvati had~~ ~~seventeen~~ confessionals Ep1 with the next highest being Rob at 7. Classic Australian survivor being imbalanced as shit. Episode 2 literally had 7/13 people getting confessionals. Just insane. And Kass, Tommi, and Janine deserve better at 3/3/2 confessionals respectively.
