It's essentially a magic stat, and there's only about two weapons that naturally benefit from it. Although it will make hunter tools effective if those appeal to you. Otherwise I would recommend going more with Skill. Thorn 05/12/25 12:26:00 PM #21:	I had fun with some of the Hunter Tools so I don't think 20 Arcane hurts you or anything other than maybe putting you in a temporary hole early game since your STR/Skill/HP might be lower than they otherwise would be if you diverted it there and built the Arcane up more slowly over time. I gravitated towards the skill weapons myself, ton of fun. If I ever get through enough of my backlog (lol. lmao.) Serrated damage also does extra damage to them, which you get with the Saw Cleaver/Spear, although the Spear has the benefit in both forms. Also don't sleep on the transform attacks, they do a lot of damage, you can get off a full R1-L1-L1 combo in quite a few situations with the Saw Spear and it melts HP. Charge attacks can open up enemies for backstabs when you get the chance but otherwise not as useful here as in Elden Ring. This game goes for a quality over quantity approach to weapons, so you won't be finding a whole lot of them. PeaceFrog 05/15/25 5:20:48 PM #42:	Insight makes some superficial visual changes to the enemies, but not to environments. Defeating certain milestone bosses is what impacts the environments. Think of arcane this way - any weapon that deals greater than 0 non- physical damage will scale with arcane. Your torch comes with non physical damage, so it works with arcane. Every right hand weapon except for torches can have blood gems slotted into it. Some blood gems add non physical damage. Once you do this, the non physical damage added will begin to incorporate the arcane scaling listed on the weapon. Your question can gave two answers. If you keep exploring the chalice dungeons, you will encounter a non physical blood gem at some point. I don't remember exactly where, but I'm pretty sure there's a fire one somewhere by the end of the second tier. Alternatively, you can find a weapon that deals non physical damage.
