Toppings are their own debate, but it's not often enough that people discuss something more important and foundational than even that.

I expected more controversy.

I'll blame the dying message board and Fandom for bas polling. It's obviously not the pizza that's the actual problem. It's just a bad sample pulled from people still here and not me being salty about my poll results at all.

Pretty much, yeah! In fact I never even knew for the longest time that "California Style" was even a thing because being raised in California my whole life, it was always just regular pizza to me.

Im still on the fence if that qualifies as an actual style. Is there a specific crust that it usually comes in? Or would getting buffalo chicken pizza at a any restaurant still technically qualify as California style?

They're not. It's mostly for tourists, and the rare special occasion where you either have a craving or a desperate need to do it ironically.

But they at least own it as theirs. They don't have to be proud of it. Just like Malort. It's ass, but it's their ass.

I dunno what the second Chicago option is, but I'm the ideal crust is maybe 1/2 thick or so, which I guess falls under joke option.

Deep dish is at least preferable to thin crust.

I'm not picky. I like many styles but as far as Chicago goes I prefer tavern over deep dish. But outside that give me anything. NY, St. Louis Style, Detroit style, whatever. I like almost all of it.

The only one I don't want to eat is that stupid Dave Portnoy shit where he only eats cheese pizza like children do and people get all uppity about New Haven being "charred" rather than just sometimes burnt like I have seen and if you are discussing "flop" I have no time for you.

Also fuck off with that Altoona pizza.

But outside that seriously 99% of it I will eat, ignoring the fact I can no longer have gluten or dairy. My opinions are based off the time before I had food issues. And I have been to Italy and had authentic Neapolitan pizza in Naples. I've had it all. It's all good but I love our American versions too.

Lastly I don't care what anyone says, my favorite pizza is Taco Pizza in the Midwest. Happy Joe's or Godfathers. Other places have good ones too. Smothered in sour cream and soaked in taco sauce. Sooooo fucking good. Doesn't reheat well though with the lettuce and taco chips on top though. But fresh it is amazing.

I pretty much like any pizza except for St Louis style and the Altoona sounds like I wouldn't like it but I've never tried it. Isn't there also some style of pizza that has uncooked cheese and pepperoni? That seems weird to me but I do like lunchables so I dunno maybe that'd be alright.

I chose Chicago Tavern though since I live in Illinois and wanna stay loyal
