Video game music does nothing for me... I don't even mute it or anything but it just seems to bounce off of me and I don't even realize there was music going on...

The irony being I have a ton of game soundtracks because Deluxe and Collector's Editions always seem to come with soundtracks...

Also I like Fallout 76 which I think qualifies as a sin itself lol

I play on easy pretty often, especially in games that are outside of my preferred genres. Mostly because game overs, especially where I lose progress, often leads to me dropping a game entirely. It's a really bad habit.

I disable auto-cloud save uploads for all of my souls-like games and I manually upload my saves to cloud frequently.

This way if I end up in a unfavorable position or lose a shit-ton of souls via dying twice and not recovering the souls drop I can just redownload my cloud save. Of course I also do this to get all the ending trophies in one go.

I play the game the way I want to. For the record, I dont compete online. If I want to use a cheap tactic to win, then I do. If I cant get past something, Im fine cheating or lowering the difficulty.

At the end of the day, youre not supposed to get so upset about games that you want to smash the controller and rage quit the game (Im looking at you, Brave Fencer Musashi). One of my least favorite type of gamer are the ones who cry to the developers to nerf things in a single player game! They would constantly listen to Borderlands fanboys and take out cool weapons just so some dork could feel like he was a real gamer.

In Oblivion / Skyrim I collect the corpses of my foes and use them as mannequins / decoration in my homes. I spent weeks in Oblivion (and finally succeeded, thanks to a suggestion from a fellow gfaq'er) working out an exploit to keep virtually any corpse in the game from despawning; the Skyrim exploit ended up being a lot less complicated, thankfully.

I broke an Ape Escape disc in half because I would pry discs out by their edges rather than push the button in the middle of a case.

Me and my friend used to do Red Dead Online co-op missions with randoms, get right to the end, then deliberately drive the carriage off a cliff and fail the mission.

I used to love using "noob methods" and the like online. It was an idealogical statement. If it worked and you couldn't counteract it, YOU'RE the noob.

I paid money for Overlord Fellowship of Evil.

That's the way to do it my man.

I made wax museums of people in GTA3. You die instantly if you go too deep in water.... I'd camp by a lake on the third island and spook pedestrians into running into the water. The green cash drops glowed really nicely and illuminated the suspended corpses in cool ways.
