Forgotten City is fantastic and short. Dead Space Remake is a top tier reimagining that eclipses the original (much like REMake did for RE1). Either of those imo --- If you wake up at a different time, in a different place, could you wake up as a different person? #theresafreakingghostafterus ... Copied to Clipboard!

Also gonna throw in some thoughts on recent games I played because I like having those in these polls Dave the Diver I'm a little torn on this one, because there's a lot I love about it. Great music, great pixel art, great animation, memorable characters, generally just fantastic aesthetics all around. My biggest issue was the gameplay loop. It was always fun discovering new creatures and new areas, but I think that dipped off pretty hard in the back half of the game, where actual objectives became fewer and it starts to feel a lot more grindy, going through the same motions to maintain the farm, catch expensive fish, etc, similar to why I'm not really into most roguelike games Crime O'Clock A fun game with a lot of potential but badly in need of improvement if they make a sequel. Basically it's a game of solving murder mysteries by tracking people's movements on a big Where's Waldo-esque map over the course of 10 frames of time. The main issues: 1. it really holds your hand through some of the interesting murder mysteries 2. every once in a while it'll drop a mission that's just "find this tiny symbol somewhere in the map with little to no clues" which is boring and takes forever 3. the story interrupts the interesting gameplay for minigames that are mostly pretty lame and repetitive 4. the story introduces its twist waaaaay too early The part I actually enjoyed the most was the freeplay mode where it just lets you freely look for characters throughout the 10 frames and piece together their paths on your own. Thank Goodness You're Here! Super short, beat it in one sitting I think, hilarious game Say No! More Somehow even shorter, basically like a one-button game about learning to say no to people, but silly premise and a fun time for like 2 hours Party Hard A fun concept that I wish I enjoyed more. Basically you're a serial killer looking for creative ways to take down big 8-bit parties, but the gameplay itself and most importantly the detection system is very wonky which makes it hard to get through Life is Strange: Double Exposure I love this series so fucking much and will continue playing every one they put out. Possibly the best in the series since the original? But I also loved True Colors. I do appreciate that while they couldn't get Astro Bot Game of the year 2024. May be outright the best platformer I've played. --- Khal Kirby, warlord of the Super Star Khalasar PSN/Steam: CheddarBBQ https://goo.gl/Diw2hs ... Copied to Clipboard!

I try to take a couple small games in between big games, and Dave was 40+ hours so I'll probably take at least one or two short games before my next longer one --- Khal Kirby, warlord of the Super Star Khalasar PSN/Steam: CheddarBBQ https://goo.gl/Diw2hs ...
