Mentioned on discord already, but I'm content with the amount i've done, so if anybody else wants blocks 22/24 in rotation 6, they're yours for the taking

I checked and those two blocks don't have songs I nominated in them, so I'll finish them up.

Rotations 4, 7, and 8 are all legitimately done. 5 and 6 are one off. 1-3 only have a few unclaimed blocks left, so if you're on those circuits (or even if you're not,) feel free to get in there and wrap 'em up.

Going to need someone to handle the block with one half of each colored pair because a single clean-up agent can't do them both.

1-22 complete. Again, I don't want to touch 1-14 due to a familiar song I can't be unbiased about.

3-22 and 3-23 are complete, and my five blocks are now done. I only had access to my phone during this, however, so I didn't bother with making comments. I was able to listen with both ears today, however!

This is assuming everyone who has claimed a block follows through, which never happens at a 100% rate, so there may be more available soon. But beyond this, all available blocks are in rotation 9, so if you'd still like to get in on the action (more or at all,) that would be the place to go.

Am I the only one that doesn't comprehend this sheet at all ;; I get they're unclaimed blocks but I don't really get the colours or conflicts. I could probably do 02-02 if that's the bottom line though?

Basically, the shown images are unclaimed blocks, columns are the rotation in which they are not claimed. Colors mean the same person can't do both blocks of a color pair - though ideally, the same person should stay in their rotation, that makes the "cleanup" people, who will be going through and ranking unclaimed blocks, not accidentally double-up and reverse-rank the same song.

Let's say NFUN ranks group 14 from rotation 1. That includes Quest 64 - Highland. As a result, NFUN cannot also rank block 6 from rotation 2 because that also contains Quest 64, so then someone else has to. In theory, I could then go in and rank it, but what if I rank another block that also has a conflict with that set from rotation 9? Then we're stuck waiting for someone else who can take that group.

So I'm trying to deal with as many potential conflicts pre-emptively as possible. And, TBH, if I can get everyone to finish the first 8 rotations without a sweeper coming through afterward, that's even better.

Ahh, that makes sense and I prob may have figured that out if I paid a bit more attention to the coloured songs but that works lol thanks

Finished up the two blocks I claimed earlier and also claimed and finished block 14 for rotation 1.

Can clean up 5-22 if no one else wants it.

Thank you to those still getting a few blocks done here and there. I'm gonna say this now since my primary helper is 5-6 timezones ahead of me and will undoubtedly start without a declaration from me.

I would like all blocks completed by this time Wednesday.

Starting tomorrow, it will be open season on all incomplete blocks. The clean-up crew will be coming through to ensure those blocks are finished. If you see a block that hasn't been started and it has five tracks that you have not already ranked, you are welcome to -- and I would appreciate if you would -- do it yourself. I have personally started ranking open blocks in rotation 9, and with the assistance of whoever else wants to jump in, I have confidence we can wrap up everything that's left in the next 72 hours.

This time limit is important, btw, because I want to have time to reveal the results before VGMC. Since there are 135 tracks, I will probably do this in 3 batches of 45, simultaneously posting to the board and listening to the tracks on discord. This is how I handled the last batch, and I thought it went pretty well. I'm toying with the notion of dumping those reveals Wed-Fri-Sun, except that I work kinda late on Wednesday, so that wouldn't start until around 9 EDT. It's also dependent on everything being finished early enough on Wednesday that I can get everything ready before work.

I looked through the spreadsheet and the only blocks that don't have a song that I either nominated or already ranked are Rotation 1, Block 4 (claimed by Chaos-Zero) and Rotation 9, Block 4 (claimed by waveshine2001). And even then, I could only do one of those because both blocks share a song.

I'm happy to keep ranking more blocks, but I know you don't want us to rank songs we've already ranked, so I just wanted to see how you'd want me to proceed in light of that.

Now that the rankings are done, I just wanted to shout out a few songs that I am very likely to support that I didn't get a chance to rank.

@FL81 Kegare Naki Yume was easily my favorite VGMC discovery so far, and it's basically auto-support for me at this point.

@Chaeix Hope is the Thing With Feathers is a song I was actually thinking of nominating myself, so I'll almost certainly be throwing a support at it.
