I have a few instagram accounts. My main one is full of Japanese idols and my own interests.

And I have an alt dedicated to gunpla, figures and trading cards. For some reason, no matter how hard I try, half the timeline is full of big breasted girls taking their tops off or shaking their body. I try to purge it with the "not interested" button but it persists.

And I never have liked or saved any of those posts on the account. I wanted it to be primarily about my hobbies.

Unfortunately if its anything like Facebook or YouTube once that stuff gets on your page its damn near impossible to get rid of it. I remember when that Beyonce Square dancing trend started, I have to go through blocking at least 400 pages to get the damn thing cleaned off my YouTube shorts page. Damn shame too, as there were some creators I actually enjoyed.

You don't have to like or save them from showing up. Just clicking on them to view then is what triggers it.

I would just ignore them and actively search for other things. It will show less.

I don't think the algorithm cares about what kind of women you spend your time staring at.

It just shovels some more your way.

Humans as a whole are horny by nature, so the algorithm is correct in its approach. It's just that horny isn't proper in polite spaces. Rip Internet usage in those spaces.

The algorithm is likely associating your accounts because of shared devices/ips.

I imagine the idol stuff is the main contributing factor, as others have pointed out.

If I'm spending all my time looking at pictures of women, the algorithm is going to assume I like looking at pictures of women. It's pretty simple.

I know nothing about Instagram but separate accounts means nothing in this day and age when youre using the same device. I use a tablet for my internet usage and looking at home theatre equipment on a website will trigger Amazon to email me and advertise to me.

How you do think GameFAQs knows about your alts?

Social media tracks the shit out your every move.

They might have some data tracker that connects your two accounts.

You could also be triggering them outside of Imstagram. Cookies or more data scalping.

Also Insta and FB just sometimes decide to put shock bait up. Paid users boosting their views.

You CAN block that stuff, you know.

Could be your cookies and internet history leading to that.

I only have an Instagram because my gf wanted me to get one. I don't post anything, but I occasionally peak in everywhere day for 5 seconds to look at something she posted.

Anyway, back on topic, my suggestions section tends to be about some item i was Googling or bought in the past month or 2.

It's really tame software porn at that. It's more annoying than anything.

Because it was blocking literally every video I was trying to watch. I'd watch a Dimension 20 short and then it would be followed by 20 different "This is country" shorts. My "For You" page was literally just dancing videos, which I had no interest in.

Isn't Instagram just thot central? All I see are horny everywhere on there ever since I started going there several years ago.
