So far John Mulaney, Nate Bargatze and Tom Segura have gotten the absolute hardest laughs out of me.

I listened to Ari Shaffir's Revenge for the holocaust, it wasn't very good.

I tried Mike Bibuglia's first Album, it was ok but didn't get laughs like the first three.

Jimmy Carr has been ok as well.

If you like Bargatze, give Brian Regan a shot. Delivery is different, but it's the same type of observational humor.

Jeff Arcuri is hilarious and does brilliant crowd work. Not sure if he has specials, Ive just seen a lot of him on Reddit.

I've really enjoyed Josh Johnson this past year. His deliveries are on point and he's incredibly prolific, he uploads a new set on his YouTube channel every week.

Subject matters vary quite a lot, sometimes political but usually just about whatever the reason news of the moment is. Whether that's explaining the Kendrick/Drake beef, or the significance of the Diddy arrest, or discussing a random series of tiktok videos where some woman was digging in her back yard when she discovered a rolled up carpet buried beneath a tree.

Tag- someone recently recommended Myles Anderson's "professional joke explainer" bit, but I am pretty sure they only explain bad comedians (very funny). I need a refresh on good ones

Seconding Jefd Arcuri. I went to one of his shows and he blended his crowd work into his show so well I had trouble telling how much of it was part of his set and what he was actually riffing on.

Reading what you liked the first comedian that popped in my head was Shane Gillis.

Dave Attell or Dave Chapelle maybe if you havent already.

The sketches I've seen Shane Gillis in on SNL have been pretty good, and the bit about his cousin with down syndrome was really funny, but I tried listening to one of his specials and it wasn't grabbing me.

I've also watched all the Chappelle stuff, his earlier stuff is way better. Mitch Hedberg is another comedian that I think is solid gold.

That seems like a pretty reasonable list. I might have Segura lower, but I feel like my opinion of his material has declined the more of it I've experienced and that's probably a personal preference thing. I would definitely have "only just recently aware of" Segura rated very highly.

If you are willing to loop back around to Josh Johnson again at some point (and I cannot overstate just how much new material he puts out, it is absurd) I would say that his 60 minute set from 6 months ago regarding the Diddy arrest and his 30 minute set from 3 weeks ago after Diddy's lawyer tried to recuse himself are among some of his better videos.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i5j-1VlKAlY

I'm hoping in the next week or two we get a set from him about the whole debacle of the war plans being exposed because the Trump Admin is using commercial group chats programs to discuss classified information. It seems like the kind of current event he'd have something to say about.

Segura might actually be = to Bargatze in all honesty and Jeselnik might be above them both. I'm a huge deadpan fan, even though Mulaney isn't deadpan. His content and delivery is just top notch for me.

i can't really consider josh's stuff a special as much as it's just that he puts out 40m shows regularly. like, every week or two just new material and he's been doing that for about a year now.

he targets just 2-3 subjects, wraps them together neatly as he tells the story, and entertains while doing so the whole time. it's technically simple but ridiculously hard to just keep pulling off.

Yeah, he has like 5 or 6 things up on Spotify. I think only one of them was an hour. All of his stuff was very enjoyable. I really liked Elusive.
