Endgame was an OK movie, nothing special. Infinity War was a much better movie.

It still has no shot of coming close. The individuals movies are mixed (mostly not hype), the collab movie tanked and was boring, and the cohesion between them is so forced. It's like they only thought to do this once Avengers took off and patched things in, rather than from the start. To be fair, it's hard to say if Marvel knew either considering the changing roles of the Hulk, but after Iron Man 1, they at least set it up so it could happen.

I'm not really talking about the movie itself, I'm talking about it as being the finale to the saga.

They've definitely heavily fumbled on any sense of cohesion and connectivity by spreading things too wide. Curious to see if their Downey emergency button works for them.

It doesn't help that others tried and failed spectacularly to imitate the MCUs success. Even Marvel hasn't been able to recreate it.

It was a good thing, but they should have moved on after Endgame.

I think Secret Wars will top it by milking nostalgia similar to how people treat No Way Home. But I dont think itll come together in the same way.

what do you mean? Gunns first movie hasnt even been released

I think you mean Infinity War. It's a much superior movie, and should have ended there

I completely fell off on Marvel movies after End Game.

Infinity War was better, but Endgame is one of the few movies I can think of that actually delivered on a decade of hype and buildup like that.

I think its because of the fans that it wont happen again, because they wont let it if that makes sense.

Like, if all youre going to do is act like a movie coming out is going to be crap before you even see it, of course youve already decided youre not gonna like it and try and find everything wrong with it.

There's the side that gave Thor Love and Thunder a chance and it was not even a 10% of the good shiet that the saga was in the comics, and suire you might have some scen3s but it is nowhere near the saga that it was based on.

Yea I read that comic story Love and Thunder is based on a couple weeks before the movie came out. I was so hyped. And then I saw the movie.....

To be honest, some of the writing for Endgame felt a little weak to me. Like using time travel to get the Infinity Stones back. How they got time travel in the first place. ("It's super easy, barely an inconvenience.") The time skip, and even something as silly as needing to be lucky enough for a rat to push a button. (The Russos confirmed in an interview that Strange had seen the futures where the rat didn't push the button. Imagine being Strange and getting to the part with the rat and being like, "Nope, he didn't push it. Let's view the next one... Nope, damn. Next...") Everyone seems to love the fight scene at the end, but personally, the writing felt kinda weak. Not to mention the time travel thing and bringing back a past Gamora or whatever undid all the relationship building we had with Quinn. Also, them fighting a past Thanos instead of a Thanos that already did the crime. "You took everything from me." "I don't even know who you are." It kind of takes something out of the fight when this Thanos has no idea who these people are and has no past history, no previous fights, no held grudges, etc.

To be fair, they made an immiedete shift to mass producing a bunch of disconnected tv series and then went on a half decade spree of releasing garbage movies.

It's hard to think that an Endgame could come out again when the phase 1 and 2 of your new era are just filled with mediocore crap that has basically no discernable connections to anything Avengers or is just a bunch of tv shows that have loose connections, at best, to anything going on in the greater MCU.

They are squarly in the "milk it for everything it's worth phase" now. And good for them, make your billions and all that, but I certainly won't be holding my breath that they release anything even remotely approaching Infinity War after the productions that came post Endgame.
