Can you do things while you have a job?

Option 1:You may have the cash, but the absentee policy, or any other form of noncompliance on either side prevents you

2:You can do it, likely you have to slave like a damn dog and not get screwed over, and you got hte $$$ to do so.

3:You do not have the cash, you need a job.

4:This is probably too redundant to be an option.

5:This currently does not apply to you.

I cannot do things because things are too expensive now

Jobs are slavery, if you think about it.

If you have no job, you have nothing.

If you have something, you will lose it if you lose the job.

My job allows me to do a lot more things than it stops me from doing, but of course, it is sometimes restrictive. Like, I cant sleep until noon on a work day.

Have to do too much lately, although I can't complain about the compensation.

The real problem is my parents can't afford to take care of themselves. I probably could've built a pretty good nest by now to actually do fine settling on a less demanding job.

I've been freelance for about 20 years so I've got a lot of freedom-- in theory. Reality is, when it's your responsibility it's hard to let things be at the end of the day.

Shit jobs are shit, no doubt. But not all jobs are shit.

You have the choice to do a myriad of things to earn money. I had an uncle who got by doing repairs and yard work without ever punching a time clock.

This is a terrible take and it's actually insulting to people who were enslaved. There was no choice for them. They were subject to some horrific acts and their only options were to take it, try to escape, or die.

That isnt what slavery means. Unless your employer is whipping you because you arent picking cotton fast enough, and beating you nearly to death as an example to the other slaves cause you dared to ask him for a little bit of extra soup for dinner, a job is nothing like slavery

These days, modern might as well equal stupid.

My job has strict government oversight that prevents me from doing some recreational things outside of work, so that's kind of a bummer.

Nah.

I work because I have to but I'm fortunate enough to have a job that I like. I also never work beyond 40 hours or on weekends/holidays and have about as much free time as someone who works full-time could hope for.

I'm a slave to existence.
