How do you get 2 generational QBs back to back in Favre and Rodgers and only win 2 Super Bowls?

Well if I remember correctly, they only had a qb for most of the time. Everything else sucked.

edit: also the packers won a lot more championships before the superbowl was even a thing.

It is a travesty to have 30 years of HoF QB play and only get 2 rings out of it.

To be fair, Brett Favre played the vast majority of his career in the era before the "QB and offense friendly" era we're currently in. Back when there wasn't that many rules going against defenses, and defenders could press the receivers at the line of scrimmage, and disrupt their timing.

I'm sure if Favre was 20 years younger, and played in this era. He'd likely have more super bowl appearances and wins.

Because more than any other team sports you are truly talking a large number of people. 22 starters between offense and defense not counting kicker/punter and of course all the players who are regular rotational players. You are only on the field for offense and often the game is completely out of your hands.

There have been amazing all time greats at QB that never won a Super bowl or had limited success meanwhile there are a string of dominant Super Bowl winning teams that have had mediocre game manager QB's that contributed very little and still won.

The best passing QB I have ever seen in my life never won a Super Bowl and I watched another elite hall of fame QB have to wait his entire career before winning a couple at the end as an old man. It happens.

This isn't like basketball or hockey where one or two really dominant generational super star players can have a major major impact on a game both on offense and defense.

Because winning the super bowl is really fucking hard and requires a lot of luck as well. Brady and Mahomes have just skewed it so it looks easy.

Super Bowls aren't easy to come by when two teams have won pretty much all of them since 2000.They should be be happy they have two. Some teams can't even get a playoff win for like 20 years.

Look at how good Joe Burrow's season was and dude didn't even make the playoffs. Just wasting prime Burrow and Chase with that dumpster fire defense in Cincy.

Because we do big brain shit like give 90% of the salary to said QBs, keeping us from acquiring more pieces. Or trading away all of our talented receivers. Or not investing in our defense when our offense was fucking balling (going back to the first point). Etc,etc.

They won before the Super Bowls too, though those don't count. Landry trophy lol. I think They really should have won a third there somewhere and got sidetracked. Also I felt pretty good about them facing John Elway and Terrell Davis. I think that was his name, he was just ready to roll. This is easy to look up but that was the first Super Bowl John Elway won and he didn't do shit there.....

*pause for research*

https://www.pro-football-reference.com/boxscores/199801250den.htm#all_team_stats

TD ran 30 times for 157 yards 3tds. and John Elway had a meek 12 for 23 123 yards passing. He probably won the MVP heh but Terrel Davis was bucking and fighting for that win.
