I've never played 8, the one on Wii U, only 8 Deluxe. I played 7 for like 1 day, when I got my 3DS I forgot about MK7 and never ended up getting it. I remember Super Mario Kart being available as WiiWare or like a demo inside ACCF or Brawl, played it a few times. And I played Super Circuit when I was playing a bunch of GBA games. But it didn't get quite the play time as 8 or Double Dash. 4th: Mario Kart 64 Played this with my siblings a lot when I was younger 5th: Super Mario Kart I remember Rainbow Road being really difficult as a kid. 6th: Mario Kart 7 I played this some. Plenty of time solo in DD and SC and I only assume DD pulls ahead because of multiplayer with my cousins. DS I played as well, but I don't have strong memories of replaying it a ton.
