I got 0 WFH before COVID although they did let me WFH one time when my son was really sick and I had an important project that they needed the analysis for and couldn't wait for me to be back in the office so it was either let me work or I would have used PTO and not worked. During COVID I was 100% WFH for the first year (although I did get furloughed for about a month shortly after COVID began). Then it became 1 day a month for meetings and now since last summer it's been 4 days a month which isn't the end of the world but still sucks because my commute is awful. If they try and increase it to more, I'm honestly going to start pursuing other opportunities closer to home. Working with my best friend and the hybrid schedule was really the only thing keeping me there and my friend has left the company so right now it's just the hybrid schedule as the benefit. --- "How can.. the Prime minister.. support a law.. that makes it illegal for people.. who....What I'm trying to say is.. we got Fridays remote at my old job. most people got 3 days in office, and even then they could leave early to finish up at home because traffic is always terrible. this was pre pandemic. post pandemic I think they're now at 5 days in office. it's dumb. most of these people are likely just dialing in on zoom meetings anyway because the teams are typically distributed across the country. --- Allmind exists for all mercenaries. ... Smallville posted... You have never wfh? Before COVID I could WFH if I had an appointment, needed to be at my house for some reason, or there was bad weather or something. The expectation though was unless it was something like that then you were in the office. When COVID hit and they sent us all on WFH I decided to move out of state and make my job 100% permanent WFH, which is still what Im doing to this day. I still travel back to the office once a month or so for team events or if there is a town hall or something. Those that are by the office are mostly hybrid now and typically go in Tu-W-Th, as thats the expectation, but there are so many remote teams and folks that have long commutes that its not enforced consistently across the board.
