I have also never been to Hooters. I have, however, been to Tilted Kilt:

That being said, whenever I hear "Hooters", the first thing I think of is actually this:

Bog.

I ...have never heard this song?

I have a weird memory for music, even if I only hear it once I'll remember it.

But I honestly think I have never once heard this song. That is crazy.

It was pretty popular during that most golden of eras.

I sort of file it away in my head with a couple similar bands:

I know all of those three, last one well (but recognized the other two right away).

Seriously weird that I don't recognize the first. I mean, i have heard songs like "little arrows" from the 40's and 50's ....once......and can sing some of the song still today "Little arrows, little arrows, little arrows everywhere".

I must have heard the first song, and my mind is just going so I don't remember it anymore.

Maybe this is controversial, but if I could work somewhere that people not only appreciated my company and how I looked but tipped me heavily because of it, I doubt I would be miserable. I've had alot of jobs, and some of them like teaching were very rewarding, but they were a ton of work, and the pay was crap. In theory, I would imagine waitresses at hooters get tipped more than normal, and all my friends who were waiters made significantly more than I ever did even with a masters degree, working in a law firm, as a teacher, as a lead tech etc. One friend literally worked 3 days, 6 hours shifts and always made over $200 a night in tips (he didn't even count the base wage which was $15 here in olympia).

He considered a $200 night bad, and would grumble and complain about it lol.

Somehow even though that dude was decent looking, I imagine the girls at hooters get tipped more lol.

My wife was an attorney (mind you she got sick in 2010-11 so didn't practice after 2009) and never made much over $60k a year.

My friend (the one above which is the one who made the least in tips), didn't drive, never went to college and was in his early 20's. He was pulling in 15+ at least 40$ and hour, or 55$ an hour minimum, part time (18 hours a week vs well over 40).

So yeah, doubt the girls at hooters are miserable.

When I was younger, I was riding with my mom on a road trip as we passed a billboard for Hooters. I mentioned, "We should stop there, I hear they have good food." She thought it was funny, but I wasn't even really trying to be. I just heard from somewhere that they have decent food. I couldn't care less about the entertainment.

But now I don't think I could even muster the desire for the food itself. The aesthetic just puts me off too much. It just feels gross, like it appeals to Boomers. And I definitely don't want to experience the second-hand cringe from other patrons making the worst comments imaginable.

"Yeah, I could go for a nice, fluffy 'Bun' on my burger, hehehe"

I was joking a bit initially, but i would really love to say that line. I get that they probably hear it way too often though:)

I have never been comfortable with overly sexual (or especially flirting etc) women. Not a fan of strip clubs at all, and probably wouldn't enjoy actually going to a hooters unless the waitress just acted normal (have no clue how they act).

Always been a "intimate stuff should be in privacy" kinda guy.

That being said, I would love to say "hello Hooter" hehehe, would be so fun.

Maybe the lead singer kicked your dog when you were a kid, and you blocked him out of your memory from the trauma of it all.

I actually wouldn't be opposed to visiting a strip club once in my life just to say I did, if I had the right group to go with. I don't really see any difference between that and cabaret or any other performative entertainment venue. I don't really have any desire to go on my own, but it might not be a bad time just for a place to hang out. I'd probably treat it more like a Host/Hostess Club
