Nah. Buffalo's offense is just too good, period. Detroit's best bet is to let the Chiefs beat Buffalo in the playoffs. Det is a much better matchup for KC.

Props to that kicker for getting in there and hitting someone to try to knock the ball loose for a recovery. It didn't work, but he did everything he could (and more than I wager most would expect from the least padded player on the field).

I say sit him for the next game against the Texans no matter what. Even if he thinks he's able to play, it's not worth the risk of re-aggravating the injury or making it worse, especially with the whole "3 games in 11 days" situation the Chiefs are in thanks to the NFL's absolutely braindead scheduling.

Chiefs need to go 2-1 over their final 3 to wrap up that 1st round bye (as Buffalo gets NE twice and the Jets)

I just learned on Jeopardy that the Jets are the only team who played in a Super Bowl before the moon landing who hasn't been back since

Yeah, they have (by far) the longest drought of teams who have appeared in at least 1 Super Bowl. The other pre-moon landing teams (Packers, Chiefs, Raiders, and Colts) have all made at least 3 Super Bowl appearances since the Jets last appeared.

Curiously, the Chiefs held the 2nd longest Super Bowl drought (of previous participants) for 50 years, only being surpassed by the Jets, who appeared/won their SB the season prior to the Chiefs 1st SB win. Funny how quickly that changed.

Kirk Cousins' divorce from the Falcons is expected to be finalized before his $10 million roster bonus is due March 17, with executives across the NFL fully expecting Atlanta to release him by then.

The split between Cousins and the Falcons is inevitable at this point, according to multiple sources.

Front office executives observing the situation have pointed out that, due to the no-trade clause in Cousins' contract, he now has all the leverage. And nobody believes he will do any favors for a Falcons team that surprised him on draft night by selecting another quarterback, Michael Penix Jr., in the first round then benched him this week in favor of the rookie.

Thus there now is a widespread expectation across the league that the Falcons will not be able to trade Cousins and will have to release him before March 17, when his $10 million roster bonus for the 2026 season comes due. There is no need for the Falcons to absorb any more costs for a quarterback who they have paid $90 million for 14 games.

Therefore, for the second straight offseason, Cousins is expected to become a free agent, able to choose the team and situation he believes will be best for him.
