Yeah it's a pretty solid MMO. Of the MMO's I've played/tried (Anarchy Online, Secret World, Runescape, FFXIV, Star Wars: Old Republic, Guild Wars 2, Pirate King Online 2, Maplestory, and a few others) it ranks up there as my third most played one.

World looks great, there's a good level of interaction with NPCs (like assassinating, pickpocketing), fun daily challenges that are essentially mini-quests, crafting system isn't bad but does become a time sink after a while. I also like that the different guilds give you access to different skill trees (you can be a member of each guild, but it just gives you more diversity).

Main thing I hate is you are locked in to your class choice on your character. You can re-spec, but each class tends to be viable for only one role at a time and you need to re-spec to switch. And the sense of progression is weird since it's a unified leveling system where everyone is somehow simultaneously equally powerful but also equally... weak. And they make it really difficult to effectively gather and craft across multiple skills on one character, they know this by giving you unlimited crafting material storage if you subscribe... You can increase your storage in-game by buying more bank space and more inventory space for your mount though, and you can join multiple guilds who have access to shared bank spaces.

Anyway definitely think it's worth a go, especially if you like TES lore.

Yes.
Pretty sure main game comes with morriwind and Summerset now. They run sales pretty regularly. ESO plus unlocks everything

The classes are well what you expect. Almost all use the Trinity. Tank,DPS, Healer. Some are better than others but most are great. Right now Magicka Arcanist is the DPS meta. They have a beam ability that us directable and is a aoe. I want to say Templar for both Tank and Healer are the metas for the other 2 roles. I for instance dont follow the meta. I have a Nord Nec Tank thats pretty great. I recently rolled redguard Templar who mains a 2h axe. Yesterday a nightblade archer for the level Golden pursuit. It's a bit of Roleplay to be honest. The home for housing this quarter is the Five Companions headquarters. It's been available by just playing the game and collecting event tickets.

I like it mostly because #1 its familier #2 accessible, #3 its a good mix old old school mmos and more modern ones

I wish I played it more than I did. I made an aragonian night blade but I never got very far. Some things like the crafting and limited bag inventory really try to push you to subscribing but when I played there seemed like a ton you could do with just the one time purchase. That was around when the Morrowind expansion came out.

I remember reading some guides and trying to make it so my character could solo well, but I wasn't very successful or my weapon kinda sucked and never actually teamed with anyone either. I talked to someone at work about it actually hah but I had stopped playing and my PC was shot and laptop didn't run well anymore.

Always think of it as a what if situation because there were things about it that seemed really neat.
