They might need to add something to prevent being stunned multiple times in a row. Its awful playing Vanguard and getting slapped with Peni web, freeze, exile, Peni web again maybe even a sleep from Mantis and youre basically lucky to even live. Theres just so many stuns and it feels awful playing against a team that uses all of them

I want to get better at DPS characters, but I dunno which ones really. I feel like Im fairly bad with almost all of them so far

I played a couple games the other day. I think I really like Hawkeye.

Scarlet Witch is in a really good spot and probably the easiest DPS too since you don't really need to aim.

Gotta love seeing Spider-Man mains complain about Emma. Grabbing a Spider-Man and kicking him into a wall is very satisfying

Think it would be too OP if Strange could reload while at 0 ammo with his barrier up? I feel like it would be a nice QoL at least, but wonder if it would be too strong. Its not like his damage is very good anymore tho

I think a better QOL update for him (and maybe everyone) would be to just auto reload after a certain amount of time. Sometimes I feel like I get stuck with 0 ammo on Strange then I'm shielding or meleeing and 5/10 seconds later I go to shoot and I'm still out of ammo.

That happens to me as Strange too and you cant always drop your barrier to try and reload. The Vanguards especially feel like they have slow loading times for their reload. It might be the same as the others for all I know, but it feels a lot slower since theyve got less ammo and need to make every shot count.

In the upcoming patch, we will enhance the damage capabilities of certain Strategists to elevate their threat levels, which in turn, will increase team composition possibilities. Additionally, we will make minor adjustments to a few heroes. For example, Groot and Captain America will see slight reductions in survivability. Spider-Man's Amazing Combo damage range will be slightly decreased, Doctor Strange will require less energy for his ultimate, and Winter Soldier's Tainted Voltage and Team-Up Ability will be slightly buffed.

At least thats something for Strange

Right now Jeff probably has the best self healing of any healer, which is useful given that it's becoming harder to get healer balance in matches lately

Squirrel Girl is my comfort spot bc i played a ton of Junkrat back in the OW hayday.

Dr Strange has Reinhardt's shield but doesn't really play like him otherwise.

Moon Knight is pretty beginner friendly too. His projectiles bounce between enemies so you can just target the biggest enemy like Hulk and watch it shred through the whole team.

Also you can throw his ankhs down and shoot them to bounce projectiles around too.

And of course Punisher is just generic shooter man as a fallback too.

oh cool, did not know that about moon knight. i should probably sit down and learn what these characters all do at some point. like i want to mess around with characters but even in QP i hate feeling like a liability when i'm melting as psylocke or just being a 0-add trying to get a feel for a character

but playing against AI isn't satisfying lol

Thor change makes me not want to play him now tbh. Losing bonus health on Hammer Throw really hurts, even though they're trying to make it seem positive. You should be attack canceling with it in the enemy's face constantly to stay alive. Brother got a huge stealth nerf. I need a new main tank.

Cap nerfs very much deserved though.

Thor's hammer throw sounds like it pierces enemies now considering it says that you gain 1 Thorforce for each enemy hit. Or did it always piece enemies?

But another way to get Thorforce seems pretty good even on a 6 second cooldown.

As a Namor main I'm more surprised they buffed Namor for some reason.

And thank god they finally added a sprint meter to Jeff being underground. Now just do the same for Rocket's wall climb and we're good.

The Hammer Throw can hit people on the way back, so it doesn't pierce.

I guess it's nicer if you just want to spam his lightning attack but any Thors who did that sucked anyway.

I dunno, it's a net negative without the armor imo. It takes him from being a great duelist with tons of survivability to changing his entire play style now to having to play a lot safer. I just don't get why they made this change at all honestly.

It seems entirely to benefit those who spam the lightning because you could very easily maintain Thorforce when you're in the middle of enemies. This mostly benefits if you're playing ranged with him now, which you shouldn't be.

I think this lets Jeff do more damage overall without having to choose between healing or dps but will have to see.

lmao BRO Jeff's identity was that he was the worst strategist in the game. You complained constantly about Jeff not being buffed and now that he is you're STILL complaining. Come on man.

The fact is that he needed healing buffs to keep up, and all of these healing buffs are great changes, up to and including making it so his healing spray also does damage so he can keep up with the other healers whose M1 is attack/healing too.

Actually, I just checked the reddit and the Jeff mains are NOT happy for some dumb reason.

Jeff mains deserve nothing. They're actively trying to make the character better by making changes to the problematic bits and making changes to bring him in line with other characters and they're saying "His identity was survivability" yeah and that SUCKED and did nothing for him and it just made him a worthless nuisance. People complaining he got turned into a heal bot when he still has plenty of damage, plenty of attacks, still slippery as hell, and already had multiple healing options (with the bubbles being outrageously dumb and needed changing anyway).

I honestly don't know what Jeff mains would want at this point if they're pissed off at these changes. If the numbers need changed, they'll change them at the end of the season. But everything else just keeps him as more or less the same character, just with changes to make him more viable.

Heaven forbid we have a strategist that doesnt play exactly like all the others. Heaven forbid we dont just have 10 heal bots, standing around sucking our Tank and Duelists cocks.

That being said I do think the reactions are jumping the gun for sure. See how he plays and how the numbers go, then complain that hes incredibly boring and still weak.

At least give it a shot first.

The problem was he played like Psylocke but didn't actually kill anyone and relied on hoping you'd distract people to turn around and chase.

Yeah I assumed they were happy because I could not conceive of a world where they finally make Jeff a viable pick after every Jeff Main begged for it and then Jeff Mains would not be happy with it.

Like what is the change here you take issue with? What do you want him to be able to do that he won't be able to do anymore? Please explain. What makes him anymore of a heal bot when they gave his heal attack DAMAGE now?

I remember mentioning that some parts of Jeff's kits would need to be nerfed so they could buff other parts of his kit and then all of the Jeff Mains here threw a hissy fit about how he shouldn't get any nerfs at all since he's the least picked when it cannot work with that if you want major changes made. It was obvious he needed a rework because his current kit didn't have a place in the game and he was completely outclassed by every other strategist. And then when they make it so he's no longer outclassed and has a better place in the game, it's not enough because they dared to nerf aspects of the character to justify the buffs.

Flanking and getting in the mix was the most fun part of Jeff, especially so because that aspect of him synergized with his ult, whereas the rest of his kit doesnt at all.

For a buff I would have just said double down on that aspect of him. Make his flanking capabilities better, more damage, etc. He can still off heal but definitely isnt his main role. It makes him a lot more unique and plays very differently from the other strategists.

So you just wanted him to be a duelist.

If he's better at flanking and does more damage, he's just a duelist with mild healing on the side.

Which was the entire problem with the character because he's no longer supporting.

And if you want him to be a strategist then they should completely rework his ult to just make your whole team invincible for 10 seconds like every other strategist.

I don't think this necessary makes him less able to flank.

Right click loses charges but now knocks up, the loss of charges is made up for in left click being able to do damage.

Less healing while submerged but the HoT from the bubbles actually makes up for this This is stronger for running than a mostly overheal burst.

Infinite submerge may have been a necessary balance change. The only reason he was allowed to endless submerge was because he sucked. Jeff is currently basically unkillable. But the trade-off is he sucks. He cant get the stuff that makes him not suck and also still be unkillable.

I think people are upset too because they nerfed his healing capability when it already sucked lol. You heal less and now if a diver gets in the way, you cant heal your tank anymore because it doesnt go through them.

I made that clear when I said I thought Rocket was ungodly boring to play as. I love Rocket as a character but doing nothing but healing the team and running away like a bitch isnt fun for me, sorry!

The reason I bring up his ult is because it doesnt synergize with a strategist kit. Its one of the most fun parts of him and Im sure the Jeff mains agree.

Despite my feelings on making him more damagey or supporty, its clear 99% of the community agrees these changes look trash so Im not in the minority here. Just going by numbers he looks flat out weaker.

I still think we should wait to see how the changes pan out, but absolutely understand the immediate negative response.

I think people may be underestimating how useful having potential triple knock-up may be. CC in this game is very strong.

They apparently already walked back some of the Jeff changes? Heal is 130 instead of 100 and he keeps his original healing while in hide & seek. Im looking forward to trying the new Jeff out
