archizzy 11/05/24 7:28:03 PM #19:	Its really early and hard to extrapolate data but one thing I found really surprising was that while most statistics showed Trump doing close to what he did in 2020 and 2016 and Harris doing similar to what Biden did the exit poll showed Trump winning with Independents by 11 points in Georgia where as Biden had been winning by 9. Its a 20 point swing compared to 2020. Independents are like 30%+ of the vote. I know people hate exit polling worse than regular polls but it had the CNN commentators stunned. One guy was straight up almost stuttering and said he cant explain it. On the other hand Georgia has a high turnout and usually that is good for democrats. There is also early data showing some rural areas with lower turnout that are traditional red areas.
