That was one of the first times I saw Rollins act in a dramatic role and he really was great in it. I hated his character so much. And I always found it weird cause Rollins nothing like that at all. Really showed some range.

I once saw a dude taking his laundry on the light rail, and he had his swastika tattoo in full display.

1488 is Nazi shorthand. "14" refers to The Fourteen Words in white supremacist belief. "88" is for the 8th letter of the English alphabet, so HH for "Heil Hitler".

I've seen so many 88 tatts they don't even register anymore.

Did know a guy who had a giant swastika covering his back. I remember one day he was whining this black person was being mean to him then he states he thinks it's because the swastika and he couldn't believe someone would judge him for something in his skin.... Like really can't make this shit up

Last I saw him he was working on getting it covered up because he felt uncomfortable with the idea of going to the beach with his son with such a tattoo.

I currently live in a Far North town (not gonna get more specific than that). At the time I saw the MAGA hat I lived near and worked in a different Far North town. But yeah, the whole region pretty much counts as rural, the largest towns (Kerikeri and Kaitaia) are smaller than some suburbs in cities.

88 on its own CAN be in some cases just a birthyear thing that people put in usernames long before they knew the other meaning....
and i think i've seen it on like hockey/football jerseys with probably innocuous meaning

People join groups in prison for protection and it's most often race based. I know of one gang that's more diverse but the rest are predominately one race or ethnicity. And ALL the white groups are white supremacy groups.

Id still go ahead and assume the worse of them if I saw the tatts though.

Funny thing though there is a white supremacy group that's well known for working for a black gang like getting paid to handle their first business for them. Think it was hit jobs. They are called the Nazi lowriders and they take work from a gang called the black guerrilla family
