Bottom of the Well deserves a spot in he poll

Spirit.

Deku Tree is cool because it's shaped like a tree - at least, a third of it.
Dodongo's Cavern is solid construction - it might be the best designed.
Jabbu could be better but Ruto is lame.

Forest Temple has good atmosphere but its design is kind of boring.
Fire Temple is a little better to navigate with its large areas but less interesting atmosphere.
Water Temple might be the best from a design standpoint - that uses its central chamber better than Dodongo.
Shadow Temple is kind of boring.
Spirit Temple does the two half sides, but it's not special compared to what Oracle of Ages does with the conceit a few years later.

So probably Water > Dodongo's Cavern.

Forest Temple, easy.

Of the kid dungeons, Dodongo's, probably. Of the later dungeons, I was too frustrated with Water Temple as a kid (and haven't played since,) and I was kinda checked out after that, just focused on getting to the freaking end of the game already. The idea that Spirit Temple used both younger and older Link to solve stuff was neat, I guess, but I don't even remember the Shadow Temple outside of the boss being awful.

But Forest Temple was the point in the game where the adventure hit its peak for me. I felt immersed in that dungeon in a way that no other location was able to replicate, even if I got stuck in one room with a block-pushing puzzle because of camera perspectives.

Forest > Spirit > Water (if you know what you're doing) > Fire > Deku Tree > Shadow > Castle > Well > Dodongo > Ice Cave > Jabu-Jabu

this poll made me realize I don't really love any of OoT's dungeons, but there are certainly a few I dislike

Forest, then Spirit.

I can recognize how cool the forest temple is, but I got stuck in it for literal months as a kid so I have a grudge against it lol

I've always considered Spirit to be my favorite but that's largely due to the Mirror Shield, the best designed shield in any Zelda game imo. Twinrova is a great boss too.

However I have a difficult time choosing between the five temples. They're all fantastic in their own ways, atmosphere in each one is peak.

Forest > Water > Fire >>> the rest

I know it's a meme but I unironically voted water temple. Yeah, it's easy to get stuck on it and there's a lot of going into the menu for equipment changing, but figuring out the solution was pretty satisfying. I've only done one playthrough as an adult and it was 15+ years ago, so I don't remember the other dungeons well anyway.
