On one hand I do hate it when someone gets dogpiled in general because I've been on that receiving end (and why I don't return to my "work twitter account" anymore) when I had to fire an employee because she decided to take a 2 month vacation without notifying me or anyone in management only for her to return to her office not expecting any repercussion for her action ("I had to do it for my mental health and you wouldn't understand"), but on the other hand she's a Sandy Hook denier which puts her in the same category as that asshole Alex Jones. so fuck her.

They stopped doing them years before the protest. Stuff like the Wyclef and James Corden AMAs are why celebs don't really do them anymore.

That makes sense. Judging by this Ronda Rousey roasting it seems things still havent changed. If given the opportunity Reddit will be hostile. So celebs just go other places like Hot Ones.

You need to be paid to not be hostile to James Corden. Can't really blame Reddit.

It seems like Reddit as a whole had a reputation among celebs of hostility towards them, so they distanced themselves from it.

...but the thing is, it was only hostile with celebs who didn't have a good reputation or were involved with some sort of controversy in the first place.

I don't know who this is and I don't care, but if she's a Sandy Hook denier than she deserves her roast.

It's the fact that celebs don't understand what AMA means.

It means ask the person anything, and they will respond or at least tell you to fuck off.

Celebs think it's a free publicity event and get mad when people don't focus the discussion on the product they are trying to sell.

It's kind of similar to how fandom got mad at US, who have been here for 20 years, and told us our behavior was not what they wanted and got frustrated cause we aren't focusing the discussion on their product (video game guides).
