iirc, they were going to use real smaller people (idk the proper, non-offending term), but Peter Dinklage said something about how such roles are demeaning, and now here we are.

but it doesn't even look as good as Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep... let alone Kingdom Hearts 3

Can't wait to see Snow White and the queen have a sword fight.

And I thought it looked bad before the changes.

Yeah, this is kind of a headscratcher. It doesn't seem like they're massively changing the story, but Snow White just doesn't have much of a story. It's strong mostly on the basis of its animation and this is terrible CGI.

Also their attempt to match Snow White's cartoon hairstyle is just terrible whereas the queen is in a fetish outfit, so I don't think they really nailed the fairest one of all thing either.

yea, he received criticism for that since a lot of smaller people have limited opportunities, and many wouldn't have the chance to act otherwise.

Imo the queen is way better looking than Snow White.

Not going to see it, personally I havent liked any of the live action Disney remakes that much

I'm not as against these remakes as a lot of others are, mostly because I'm not the target demographic, but I agree with this.

so many prejudiced people will jump to make their media about this.

Looks bad. I love snow white and I'm open to different interpretations or whatever. Given the importance of the OG snow white in the history of Disney I'd expect it to be treated more carefully. But this looks completely soul-less. That dramatic reverby whistle while you work repeating in the background is almost to the level of parody.

Im sure itll be better than the alt-right Snow White thats also being made.

EDIT: and god, you guys are being way too over critical. The trailer was fine.

All of her movies flop but I wouldn't call her ugly. She's just plain looking compared to Gal Gadot.

Where I'm at with this is it seems the trailer tried to edge appeal to older audiences instead of build interest upon a wider younger audience. That's sorta been the case with like all their throwback movies.
Come with something brighter. Especially with the low standards of attention spans for kids these days, this can get mad boring.

In hindsight, Aladdin and Beauty and The Beast were kinda boring, only rivaled by KH3 cutscenes of those respective worlds. Jungle Book still wins me over a bit, because it was more of a ride.

We had the LotR and Hobbit trilogies that depicted short characters in hobbits and dwarves just fine alongside humans, elves, orcs, and wizards, played by actors who are not hobbit- and dwarf-sized, yet we're getting CGI dwarves in this. How hard is it for Disney to ask "Hey, Pete, how'd you do it?".

Like others have said, you can blame Dinklage for this.

You can also (basically entirely) blame Disney for hearing one prominent person affected publicly announce his displeasure and rather than reaching out in the community just going "well, better scrap that!"
