good point, they'll have tons of shark cards before the game even launches

I'll probably have to wait even longer since I doubt they'll release the PC version at launch like literally every other studio these days. Gonna suck.

I know even though gamefaqs does tend to skew a little older it pretty much reminds me on a daily basis of just how much older I am than everyone else. You are today's daily reminder of how much younger this site often is.

I was 32 when GTA IV came out. Hell I was 22 when I bought the original one on PS1 in 1998.

And yeah I'm expecting Fall of 2025 and I'll definitely buy right away. I only want the single player and don't care about online unless they make it really viable and fun to play solo like they did RDR2.

im one year older than you where when GTA 4 came out. I really enjoyed that game I know it kinda has a weird rep but I hope they remaster it or whatever
Theres some kid that will turn 17 next year thatll continue the legacy and buy GTA 6
im also looking forward to the campaign more than anything I never really played online with 5.

Same and I started thinking about it ... I don't think I've ever played a Rockstar game.
EDIT: Well I have LA Noire on Steam and played like 15 mins of that and I picked up a Midnight Club game for like an hour or two.

Nah, I still haven't even played v then though I own it for both PS and Xbox (it's old so always on sale and kept telling myself eventually I would).

I want to get the GTA bug back in me, as I loved Vice City when I was in middle school, however realistically I might not ever even play Vl.

I can't wait for GTA 6. I'm already trying to talk myself into lowering my expectations lol

its impossible not to have extremely high expectations with how long weve been waiting. Im sure R* knows they cannot fuck this up

Is the Grand Theft Auto still really that big of a draw nowadays? When there's plenty of other excellent sandbox games out there? Also, plenty of games for everyone with their own definition of what a "fun" game is supposed to be. I don't know, but I wonder if GTA 6 will undersell expectations?

I'll probably buy it when it gets cheaper, because some the stupid fun of taking on the cops and whatnot, will keep me interested for some weeks. But if it's just like the other GTA games, I'll probably be done sometime after finishing the single player campaign. Past Grand Theft Auto games don't seem to have much in replayability and GTA 5 online didn't keep me engaged for too long last time I played it.

I will bet everything I own, my entire retirement account that when it releases it will smash every media record for day 1 sales, 3 day sales, first week sales, fastest to a billion dollars, all those metrics. It will dwarf any game, movie, or music sales previously. Im sure itll have an insane amount of pre-orders/preloads leading up to the unlock.

I assure you it is still a large draw. It will meet and pass any sales expectations. Its going to absolutely dominate gaming news upon release.

Imagine Elder Scrolls 6 being announced for next year too.

Eh, I couldn't really get into GTA5. Tried a couple times. I think it's the hyper realism. I prefer the charm the PS2 games had.

I 100%ed Vice City last year and San Andreas last month (as a kid I beat them but never 100% them) and that was fucking awesome and made me super hyped for GTA VI.

can't wait to eventually get it on PC and have to re-install the rockstar games launcher. i love it when games have their own separate launcher.

I have a feeling your probably right. I usually don't understand current gaming trends nowadays.

Its really not. I have low enough expectations that I will not be playing the game. After 5 and RDR2, Rockstar is dead to me.

What's GTA6? Never heard of it.

Nah. GTA 2 was the last good entry in the franchise.

its kind of a lose/lose here if R* kept the charm of the PS2 games everyone would complain theres not enough evolution or progress. 5 was a good blend

As long as GTA6 keeps the heist missions. Those were by far my favorite thing about GTA5. I replayed those so many times just to do it and see the variations with the people you picked.

I like those heist missions too. One of the few stuff in GTA 5 I remember from playing the single player story.

I think GTA 6 should have more RPG elements that past games lacked. Something like branching paths depending on choices you make and a leveling/skill points system. I'd get more into the single player campaign, if I can build my character the way I want too and the game would have more replayability.

I am cautiously optimistic about 6. With several key people of the series being gone and Take Two just being so greedy they'll monetize anything because the CEO gets a cut of the Shark Card sales, I wonder how it will turn out.

It's going to be the first $80 game and the only "single player" will be a 10 minute tutorial leading into the online portion. lol
