I have to. The only real alternative is allowing the Republicans to get even more power, and thus enabling all the horrors they openly (and not-so-openly) intend to inflict upon their own country's people, the world at large, and even, in the end, themselves.

The consequences of this election will be felt for generations. The person who is president for the next four years could very well choose additional Supreme Court picks.

Because replacing Biden so close to the elections is just sabotaging Democrats. I'd be fine voting for a Democrat that isn't Biden. But that decision would have been made last year, not right now.

Normally, no. The best candidate should be given fair consideration. Otherwise its hypocritical to look at brainwashed Republicans who never switch their views if we do the same.

Id disagree if there was another option that could realistically win that doesnt want to bring everyone back to 1700/1800s. But I have to follow that statement since the only other option does want to bring us back to the past.

That said, Republicans today are universally terrible while third parties simply aren't viable in 99% of races. Your choices end up being terrible Republican, Dems of varying quality and "I don't care". The choice should be obvious.

I understand the logic behind it. I can't get behind it though; it's basically telling the blue side they can do whatever they want as long as the red would do something worse. Basically the Big Ask (no relation to the Big Lie beyond being a psychological thing) repackaged in a political form.

Absolutely; I don't currently have a lot of faith that we won't somehow fuck it up, but if Trump wins, I'd be surprised if Thomas, Alito, and possibly Roberts don't all retire sometime during the term, so we could wind up with three MORE Trump justices, not to mention all of the other court seat filling that would happen.
