I'm going through all the Braid remaster commentary right now, but I'll tell you in a few weeks after I clear all the other awesome games I got from the generous denizens of CE. I *think* I have it on epic.
Oh, right, I say this because The Witness may have elements related to Braid, as they are both made by the same guy. I've been staying blind on the Witness for a while now, specifically be cause I was waiting for the Braid remaster. --- https://www.joincampaignzero.org/ Guide, it's Guide, it's that Guide ... Id love a similar thing for the Witness tbh. I know Blow can be a bit abrasive but I generally find his commentary interesting.

There's none of that in his in-game commentary, I can safely say. He clearly has respect for his team. And beyond that, I'd say it's excellent supplementary material for anyone going into game design.

I've not played it, but I played that game parodying it and if it's at all accurate, I don't think I would like The Witness.

I played it for a bit, but got turned off by how all the puzzles felt so similar. It felt more like being given a puzzle workbook than having a game to play. There's a great video by Joseph Anderson where he talks about the game.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZokQov_aH0 Personally, I thought it was fine. I thought there was some kind of grand narrative or theme connecting everything, but then I got to the end and there really wasn't. I hate that I know the solution, I know exactly what needs to happen, but for some reason I just can't get the timing right. So a lot of old "tips" for beating it was to take a screenshot, pause to solve it at your leisure, then resume the game to answer the puzzle) I was playing it on a Mac. Didn't know about any exploit where you could pause the game. I just had to do the puzzles over and over until I learned the sequence well enough to speed through it. Also somewhat luck-dependent, since the puzzles are randomly harder/easier each time they're generated. I don't really remember any puzzles in the Talos Principal that required timingThere were those end game puzzles where there were recording devices that replayed what you did so there was a bit of timing going on there where past you held on to a platform that present you would step on or whatever, but that's the most that comes to mind. --- PS5s have liquid metal tech like the T-1000- AceCombatX Game devs don't deserve money- Zithers, in a topic he made on a game site about artists deserving money. ...
