Yea, but it's nonsense to just say people don't feel inspired to vote Dems when they're routinely winning the most overall votes every election.

When you're upset that the choices are an 81 year old man and 78 year old man, remember that they were both nearly unanimous picks. So be upset with voters, not the system. Voters chose these two men. If you want things to change, talk to those voters before the primaries, but don't be upset after the primaries.

The system is also riddled with problems.

We are in the most defensive cycle of elections. People voted Biden only for this belief of 'electability'. If people weren't so scared of Trump (with reason to be), they'd actually be voting based on policy (or, COULD vote on policy) .... but Biden came in, people associated him with Obama, and let Biden ride on those coattails.

It's literally just that. It's never been about Biden's stances. It's because no one wants Trump and so many people are like "Well, Obama had a great presidency with Biden as VP so surely we can return to those old days"....

I mean, I can't speak for others, but i don't vote for the vast majority of Democratic candidates because they inspire me, i do so as a form of harm reduction.

Im voting for Biden because Trump wants to pass another billionaire tax cut, and impose tariffs on foreign countries that will further increase inflation were already dealing with from when he did it the first time he was president.

It drives me crazy how little foresight people had in 2016 by not voting (sometimes out of protest) or voting for Trump as a form of protest against Clinton/Dems.

This is going to be our life for DECADES to come. They've barely had this makeup for 3-4 years and this is already the damage they've managed to cause. Even if Republicans never win another election the Heritage Foundation and Federalist Society will still have the highest courts in the country enforcing their Christo-fascist will.

Every day I increasingly lose my civility towards these people and want them stopped by any means possible.

In a lot of cases these things don't need to be "reversed" as we've been legislating from the bench for decades. We can pass real laws that codify this shit instead of just running off court opinions that are liable to get undone at any moment.

Thomas and Alito aren't going to voluntarily retire if a Dem is POTUS. Ginsberg went into her 90s and died on the bench in an effort to stop Trump from getting a justice and we got the anti-Ginsberg as the ultimate result, Thomas and Alito are being bribed by right-wing billionaires to intentionally influence the nation on behalf of them as they have been. If Trump wins again they may step down to put in Aileen Canon and whoever else on the SC, however barring them dying during a Dem Presidency, I don't see them being replaced.

Project 2025 is not dependent upon Trump, any modern Republican candidate will push it because their party's financial sugar daddies are the ones pushing it.
