-Don't have to walk them 2-3x a day in the freezing rain or snow. Don't have to race home after work before they piss all over your house or you gotta burden someone else with walking them.
-Don't have to literally grab shit with a bag over your hands like a cave man. Just rake out the litter with a tool like a modern man.
-Can leave the house for 5 days for vacation without a sitter if you leave extra food, water, and litter
-They're small so they don't need a lot of space.
-less likely to destroy anything expensive
-are affectionate but also give you space and aren't all up in your grill constantly
-take care of any pests that come in
-if you have an outdoor cat, they take care of themselves half the time (though don't have an outdoor cat)
-when they lick you, it's not a drench of saliva all over you
-Kittens are OBJECTIVELY cuter than puppies

Prove me wrong >_>

Whenever someone uses "objectively" when being extremely subjective, I don't find it amusing. I disregard everything they have to say because they clearly aren't intelligent enough to know what words mean.

I could never stand the whole "unconditional love" shtick dogs have.

A cat's affection is more genuine because they have no problem telling you to fuck off. >_>

I'm lazy, cats are perfect. Don't have to bath them, walk them, pick up their shit with hands, groom them, worry about drool, worry they're alone for too long. I simply keep the automatic feeder full, water machine full, and scoop litter with a device every few days. And of course pet them, lots of pets.

i was fortunate to have both at one time.

cat was independent but friendly (i was her favorite). since i fed it.

still miss the hell out of that dog even though it was the favorite of my uncle, enjoyed her presence and helped me get the exercise.
my dog was mourning my uncle the day he died, was sleeping on the bed the whole time (knew something was wrong).

Cats do need baths from time to time. And you do have to pick up their shit every day or else your places smells like cat shit. Some of them spray your walls and your laundry. They need to scratch, and often will scratch your furniture. You also have to trim their nails more often than dogs.

This all, of course, assumes youre doing your diligence as a cat owner.

I have a dog and two cats. Theyre perfectly trained and well taken care of.

Mine play this game where they stare each other down until they both kind of jump at each other.

Whichever one wins will run away and the other chases them for a few laps.

Then they repeat.

Dont give him so much leash until hes learned to walk when and where you walk.

If you shorten how much lead you give him hell have to walk right by you.

he has 5 feet of leash. he knows where to walk because I walk him the same route every time.

he just does not like people and animals he doesn't know. he's perfectly fine with my cat that he lived with for a year, even if she does try to eat his legs.

Yeah, this is better. My cat always greets me at the door when I come home, pet him for a few minutes and then I got my space. Sometimes he sleeps on my bed, sometimes he doesn't. But when I take care of my family's dogs sometimes, they are so fucking clingy. I need some me-time nah mean? >_>
