booted up the ps4 version and finally got my plat like 10 years later lol. Its amazing how much worse the game looks on the ps4 after playing the ps5 version for a while

Unless they change it up, which we have no reason to believe they will. Should add the first set of master crafter recipe books and crafted green gear, as well. Still odd to me that they push gearing up to be part of the race.

Finally found one and got what I needed

Blm dinged 100, that makes 4 combat jobs. Sch got 97 from challenge log refresh so it's off to Heritage Found today. Nudged vpr over the line to 91 so I could start doing DT trusts instead of another Aitiascope. Really looking forward to seeing how it plays at 100, easily the most fun I have with a melee.

The picto glam I mentioned back in #395. Considering I threw it together from junk I had laying around in my glamour dresser, I think it turned out quite well and wanted to show it off.

5 Fate zones down.

Started leveling RDM, seems pretty boring so far tbh

RDM is fun once you hit a high enough level, but I can't imagine it being my main.

Also, zone 6 is so fucking dead, trying to do Fates is rough.

Yeah, I'm not sure what they were thinking of with Zone 6. You go there and it's pretty nice and by the time you leave it's just meh.

Come to think of it, I don't think I like any 6th zone from any expansion outside of when I'm there in the MSQ. (And even then, I don't care for Azys Lla or The Lochs, like, at all.)

I got so much stuff to grind lol. Hopefully i at least get all the crafters maxed before i burn out and take another break. Im subbed through december, i always seem to buy the 6 months and then never make it through to the end of the sub lol

just been doing dailies for a while, making no progress on the MSQ (still only finished the first major arc in Endwalker)

Finished the Melee DPS, Magic DPS, and Tank Role Quests.

Ranged DPS is going to be easy enough since Dancer doesn't seem too hard to re-learn, but I'm not looking forward to picking up White Mage again for the Healer quests. Hate being a Healer, and I don't feel like learning the others since they sound so busy.

sch and whm are pretty similar, but sch is the easiest by far since the fairy will do a lot of the healing for you, and you can level smn instead if you really dont want to touch healers

I hate the extra pressure that comes from healer, personally. I still level them all, though. Whm is probably the easiest. With all the tools at its disposal for free healing, it's rare I even come close to running out. Just don't be shy about throwing out Lily heals or anything that's sitting on 2 charges.

Ast and sch can get kind of busy and complex compared to whm. Sage is pretty simple in concept, the hard part is just remembering what all its ability names actually do.

Or just do like Solosnake suggested, level smn and only pull out sch for the role quests.

Do Summoner and Scholar level up together, or something?

This. Summoner and Scholar both are based on "arcanist experience points". Leveling one will level the other automatically to match.

It's a bit of a joke that people say the rework of Summoner simplified it so much so that a healer main could pick it up and do decent.

there must have been an exp adjustment at some point or something, because a lot of my classes are weridly at exactly 0/x exp for the level they are on. Been working on bard, its one of two classes i havent done the hunting log yet for.

Potency buffs for a lot of jobs. Black Mage, Samurai, and Viper got mechanical changes. Blm gets more comfort, sam gets to spam Tsubame-gaeshi, and vpr is getting Gnash replaced with a combo starter buff and potency increases across the board to make up for it.

The mount they added is that dumb vehicle Mr Garrison invented

Potency changes mostly, yes. They lost the 10% damage buff from Gnash so everything was bumped by at least 10%. There are a couple mechanical changes but it doesn't alter too much at base levels of play.

Finisher buffs last longer now, so there's less worry about them falling off with multiple Reawakening + Uncoiled spam.

With the Gnash removal, they instead added a buff applied by the combo starters to force you to alternate. So you'll want to pretty much always go 1-1-X, 2-2-X.

they still have aether completely locked down lol. Seraph is congested now. Wonder what the new place for everyone to travel will be for this patch

I swear it's way less than 50% chance for DNC to proc its subsequent attacks. I went through a Praetorium and only got a Fan Dance like twice the entire time.

Has anyone else noticed the mini cactpot never giving the 10,000 anymore? Its literally been multiple months since there has been a winning combination. I used to always get several a week at least

edit: Holy shit, i just got a winning ticket on the third one of the day right after posting this lol. First one ive gotten since resubbing in may.

What I haven't gotten in a long time is winning all 3 mini cactpot in a day but the odds of that happening are quite low so I should be happy its happened to me at all.

Not sure if i should get managarm or amber draught mount. Im 1 golden feather away from being able to get both lol

I wish my TV was calibrated better because I used a Fantasia to recreate my character so I could change the eye color but I'm having trouble telling what color is what because I haven't used a Fantasia since before I got my new TV

look up a guide to calibrate your TV. I swapped from lalafel to hume a year or so ago just so i could see the armor sets better

I also hate how some of the lighter colors cause your pupil to glaze over

Started Viper.

This feels like it seems more complicated than it is, but even still I feel lost figuring out which ability combos into what.

Seems like it's just Fangs into Stings into either a Flank or Hind ability depending on what you want. Meanwhile, the Maw/Bite/Maw combo is its own thing, and then the two Vice combos are also their own things.

Can't really tell what makes me dual blade and what makes me combine the blades, or if it even matters which I am.

I just started as a conjurer I've actually never done any healing in this game before
