A redemption run where that character isn't anyone's top priority during FoG seems destined to result in continuing the reason that character needed a redemption in the first place.

If everyone's response to a redemption run is "oh that would be nice"

I'm all for an Amarant hardboot if it'll help out the better characters in the bottom 10. Assuming nobody is actually a fan of his, of course.

Amarant would be an actual funny FF9 jobber to win (unlike Steiner) because FF9 people hate him

Amarant Alliance has a nice ring to it. It feels like John Cena's finisher. It would be super strong.

just because hes actually pretty decent and unique in game. And it causes funny reactions

All this Amarant talk reminded me of something that I haven't looked at since last year so going to drop it here again, friendly reminder on best playable character (and select villain?) placements in newstats era, colour coding is from last year's contest so green = new PB achieved or tied then, pink = win in oldstats era

Oh Aranea wasn't included since she's not a playable but I threw Cindy in there just because so will need to add her when I update it... just needs to exceed 78th place!!

Going to knock a few of those "N/A"s out this year so that's good. New PB for Ultimecia looking pretty good. Shit, no Algus/Argath in the FFT listing... was trying to keep those lists tight but so much gets excluded as a result, damn. Rosa looking good too. Who else we think?
