That said, his content is still funny and I still watch every single upload, because I'm not trying to force myself to avoid things that entertain me just because some people say bad things from a place of ignorance.

I liked Arin back in the day, never liked Dan much. Now I still definitely don't like Dan, but Arin is pretty hit or miss, with mostly misses tbh. He just tries too hard now I think.

Maybe I just watched all the wrong videos but it felt like Dan was always just telling stories about how cool he was and sucking himself off all the time

Fucking... what!? You definitely got the wrong impression. He's a very humble and genuine guy.

I respect his passion for art and gaming as well as his work ethic, and I appreciate how he's evolved over the years and has tried to be more inclusive, open minded and supportive

He's also funny sometimes

Maybe, but the point is that Arin likes Sonic, which is why they play so many Sonic games. He seemed to genuinely have fun with Frontiers.

He was officially named a "Sonic ambassador" until the fans questioned Sega on the decision to choose someone who constantly shits on their brand.

Kinda had a weird recursive thing with the two main grumps. Found NSP due to an Egoraptor animation, then found out about Game Grumps when Dan joined it.

Not really my bag though. Like others have said, Arin can be pretty obnoxious at the best of times. Probably the only funny thing I can remember from the show was on some point and click adventure game where they went on this weird "I fired, then I missed!" ramble. That was funny.

I've seen hundreds if not thousands of hours of Game Grumps, I know how Arin feels about Sonic lol

He loves the franchise. Loves the characters. Loves the music. He plays every game, and even though he makes fun of the flaws and gets frustrated, he still comes back every time there's a new release.

He even joined with Nate Wants to Battle and did this sick cover of Infinite's theme from Sonic Forces:

Considering his online demeanor seems to have changed a while ago, it seems he grew out of that, but I don't know him personally so he could just be hiding it. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt though, unlike JonTron who still exhibited white supremacist behavior after that interview debacle.

That said, the hypocrisy of him criticizing Axl Rose for saying the n-word back in the 80's while he's said it as recently as 2014 is... very Arin.
