It's still a gacha. The only straight up gacha game I played was Lost Eden. It seemed decent but spending any money on it seemed pointless. Anyhow umm I've been playing through Reverie and this has been a really long section. I fought a bullshit boss on tier 1 of the garden. I just didn't like the attack that instantly dropped your party to 8 and sometimes it would attack right after.

And now the trails are weaving together. Just heh kinda wanna walk around a town actually. Weird.

True. they also told me I could save and reload my golden egg. And I got Angelica, I like her, but I reloaded and got her again. I think they lied or maybe just the first one was pre-determined. I was going to stick with her anyway, but I thought eh if I get. Some dumbass, I'd reload. Ya know some guy from the Garghav series. Hey Star Ocean 2R (which I haven't tried yet) did do their whole support system from any game heh.

I tried reloading many times but it was the same every time. They're clearly not right about when it is you have to load. Also apparently your pool is limited by your story progress.

I did it three times, and I was like ok. I liked her anyway. Also I sorta hate Vantage Masters, but I whooped Ellie's ass and then Claire is like oh I am not very good at this and twice I was walking dead. I know I can get better cards or a base master.

I never played Vantage masters or blade much in the past, but yea Claire being all bashful was BULL!

I got some better cards and destroyed Ash, Claire took a bit of time and thinking, which is fine. But there are moments in maybe Vantage Masters (why do the the effects go so fast and there is no log). I just assume someone was healed or buffed.

I really think taking six months off from the story of Trails to finally play Reverie made me hand wave the still awful story so far. I really like the new characters but the story is so w/e and I got super freaking pissed about some of the bosses in the Reverie Corridor. The floor one main boss uses a tactic that drains everyone to 8hp no matter what you do (even Emma's Perfect Reflection shield does nothing)

Crap like that, I get you want to perhaps make the boss a challenge, but sometimes that'll happen and then often it'll get an immediate attack following so everyone is dead or mostly. So I started on Hard because I was like, I get this game by now, Normal eventually just becomes stupid easy. But I beat that jerk off on Normal and then Easy as an experiment to see what would happen. I bought this because I wanted to get lost in the Reverie Corridor but wow not a great impression there.

The story is Reverie is probably better than anything outside of Sky 3.

I kinda wish though they would stop trying to make Agate and Tita a thing it creeps me out. Thankfully Agate's skull is the densest material in the universe.

Well I know Estelle and Joshua, Joshua was adopted but they have that lovey dovey feeling too since near birth, Heh. I just had Tita and Agate join my party and it was nice to use them, I always forgot how she can use items on the whole party but after an heavy attack she is slow.

That modified jacklift beat a new a soldat!!! ey.

You can save and reload to get a different character but it has to be before you defeat the boss to get the golden orb. So the rerolling process is to save before the boss, get wrong character, reload and beat the boss again

and yeah the pool is limited by story progression. Specifically when you unlock new reverie floors I believe

Nice. I thought the last few games were sort of clumsy, but fun

Thanks I never will fight that boss again, but perhaps when the next tier opens, I will remember that.

Also after playing 4 Steel games and well Zero (I sped watched Azure, I lost my game of that). It is better than Zero though I really did enjoy Zero. Oh hey Crosbell lost their independence again is so fucking stupid. They couldn't have came up with something better? How about, the Ourobous is in a state of unrest, let's screw with someother city in Erebonia. I am sure they wouldn't expect that.

I am still giving this story the benefit of the doubt, but I just bought it because I did want to play the series again and the combat was fun.

I completely agree that the Crossbell independence bullshit is way overdone at this point but it does get better towards the end.

i started the game and i'm a long way from doing that content (had to keep myself from reading through the whole content so it isn't spoiled).

planning on 2 playthrough's (1 very easy 100% complete and nightmare run to clean-up and get the last trophy).

Congrats on a gacha topic getting some posts. And even I was marking obvs major and some tropes and minor spoilers.

I don't even think I'll get Daybreak when it comes out, I just know the most minor things but DAMN. I am so sick of Erebonia.

I am still invested. I for some reason still care. I am not "hate" playing it but for the sequel round up to this arc, ugh.

It all comes together in the end. The story is overplayed on the same notes but reverie is a satisfying final conclusion to everything from the last 6 games.

The reason I bought Reverie and on sale again, finally is because I thought the Reverie Corridor would be fun. I never played Trails in the Sky III. So I felt could get into that.

Reverie Corridor is more like the bonus dungeon from the end of CS2 than it is Sky 3. It was definitely a great part of the game though. I just kind of wish there was more story in it. And I don't mean the memory cutscenes either I just wish there was more story as opposed to just canonized grinding.

I got it for the memory cutscenes too I guess. I read that this story is validation for CSIV and I just don't see it so far though as I said I like seeing some stuff again.

I may change my mind, but heh Aurora Borealis! In this time of day. (That was just me making a tired reference/swing).
