I see what they were going for, but I find it weird as hell still.

All they really accomplished, was switching related videos and comments around, so that comments are in a right sidebar/column.

Literally no actual benefit other than job security for the ui guy. Other than that it's not as bad as I was expecting, just unneeded as can be.
Actually the ONLY benefit I can find... and it took me way too long of looking at it. You can see the video and the info/description at the same time. That's literally about the only positive.

Hasn't come through on mine yet. Though I do use ublock already, maybe that is holding it back?

Here's how to change it back with uBlock origin. Some people have reported sending negative feedback works (might require a few attempts), but I tried everyday for a week and they didn't do shit. At least the above method works for now.

I got that change and then for whatever reason got reverted back. I saw it several weeks ago actually. I dunno what I prefer more. Tbh, comments aren't all that great on Youtube most of the time, but sometimes when they are more important, it's really inconvenient

Also it's kinda nice to have the next vid to watch rather than go to the home screen again. I dunno what's better honestly

Fuck disgusting. Worst redesign I've ever seen to make something look more "mobile app".

I had this for a while and I was trying to find various extensions to fix it, before I found one that was satisfactory they reverted the UI. I dread the day they inflict it on me again. It's absolutely atrocious.

Is this only the desktop version? Because I havent experienced it yet.

I mostly browse with phone or tv, I dunno if yhose will be affected?

Is this so you can read the description and comments without scrolling the video out of view? Problem is nobody cares about a description and the comments section is worthless garbage now. Half the time you don't even know if your totally innocuous comment will be silently deleted for no reason. Any comment chain that exists will have half the comments invisible.

I haven't used YouTube on desktop in at least 10 years.

Still the old UI for me, but then, I use a desktop.

I'm using the Enhancer for Youtube plugin and it has preserved the old layout for me.

Why fix what isn't broken? Then again I said the same thing when YouTube changed from it's original format. Maybe it'll grow on me...
