I could've picked (1) which is yes, insulting, but I didn't. If (2) somehow counted as an insult then practically every english word would count as an insult and maybe we shouldn't say anything about JohnDoe at all.

I dont have an issue with DToast. Much like Allen I feel his hands are tied. It feels clear the changes were made by people above him and the mods were given no warning over them. Ive always found him to be reasonable as long as you approach him with respect. Which a lot of users havent as based on this topic. As for fandom as a whole... I dont wanna get modded.

DToast doesn't know he's just gonna be used by Fandom as a scapegoat when this site completely dies down and don't justify its minimal operational cost. Killing the forums is a bad idea cuz its users were the ones loading the ads consistently.

Anyways, he will be off in like 2-3 years. Maybe that's a long time for some, but it's not like the site will immediately die down. They'll just piss off enough ppl, and those ppl will leave. Without the consistent users, they'll feel the effect of a bunch of brainless sites taking over the first few 10 results of a google search over gfaqs

Our admins are incompetent shills hired to keep the fandom grift going.

DToast is younger than the average age of b8. I'm pretty sure hes younger than the average GFAQs regular.

He was hired by fandom prior to their acquisition of GFAQs and likely thrown in here because they had to send in -someone-. He was a community manager, which in fandom terms means "Make sure our shitty wikis that our users run themselves dont develop any issues that will compromise fandom itself".

GFAQs has always had way more care than that. To say these people are basically thrown in over their head is probably an understatement.

I cant stress enough that when fandom uses the word "community" they dont actually mean it in the literal sense. It refers to the collection of people willing to edit wikis for free to generate clicks. There is typically little to no actual interaction between these people and others, not even among themselves.

Anyway, fandom doesn't care about the meager hits of the boards; in the grand scheme of things they want clicks with minimal interaction from the administrative side. If DToast killed off the boards, he'd probably be praised for it from above. Hes here to make sure we don't endanger the rest of the shitty fandom brand so they can keep their grift of getting hits off free labor and little to no work going from the administration side.

Fuck fandom.

1. At least 3 users got modded for using/quoting the word 'incompetent' to describe DToast. Dakimakura (confirmed #49), @KainWind (unconfirmed but they quoted the offending post), and me.
2. In this topic alone, at least 5 users have repeated the same 'insult'. GrandConjuraton, Strider102, TMOG, red13n, and I.

If the word [incompetent] does count as an insult, then those 5 in point (2) should be modded. Unless those 5 get modded, the first modding spree in point (1) doesn't have a leg to stand on and should be cleared regardless of its severity. We have permaban rule, inconsistent modding is unacceptable.

I still haven't been modded.

I've gone from disappointment to anger.

He's treating this as if none of this gamefaqs stuff matters (even though he has 400 amp, probably compensating) so none of this matters to him. He's claiming the fact that you care at all is silly.

On topic I doubt DToast modded you himself. It's probably a trigger happy new mod trying to appear active. They just got new mods so a lot of inconsistency is happening right now. I've been seeing quite a few clear offensive posts get no actioned. It's just ironic timing since all these big changes were supposed to be making the moderation more consistent. Although DToast personally allowing in troll alts is on him.

Fandom sucks, DToast sucks, let's see what happens.

Think about it this way. We saw the admins' failure to post PotD thrice (and the whole KoS antivaxxer thing but that's irrelevant) and yet users in that PotD topic still chose a neutral word 'incompetent'. Pretty respectful if you ask me

Thats exactly what I did. Because besides SIMB (who recently sent me a youtube video of him challenging me to a fight irl) the other outcasts keep on trying to adopt me into their campaign to harass people and kill GameFaqs.

They keep on trying to live vicariously through the fact that I have an active GameFaqs account, which lets be honestcontributes content that upsets the type of people those folks rage against.

But just because the group of people they happen to irrationally hate (The CEmen), also happens to dislike meit doesnt make us friends. Like the enemy of my enemy is my friend nonsense only works in cartoons.

If I were in charge I would have probably banned them long before Allen did.

What if no one is reporting your posts? I also don't understand what any of this has to do with DToast. Aren't the mods the ones who do the actual modding? And isn't there a queue? If the poster who said DToast was incompetent got a nwod, then wouldn't the assumption be that these "insults" are low priority? It will take a while for the mods to get to them, and that's if they're even marked in the first place.
