Every move of his has some kind of wind up to it, even his air neutral normal

hell, even his side normals. Everyone in the game seems to beat him out and be faster

One of the missions in the new event is to break it 6 times

It's armor in the usual fighting game sense. Certain moves have armor, so if you use a move that breaks armor you can still interrupt them.

To do that challenge quickly, go to the second rift, and to the battle against Wonder Woman where she sends out drones which attack you if you don't destroy them in time. She likes using her down special to give herself shields which you can break (I used my own Wonder Woman's side special to break them).

To add to that, any move with a purple effect to it breaks armor instantly and still does knockback. For example, Marvin down attack or down air (lasers), shaggy down attack (foot stomp), or Gizmo down attack (keyboard).

if there is some ringout challenge you're annoyed by, like six ringouts on the bottom of the stage with a certain character class for example, do the banana guard treasure challenge in the third rift. He will try to get back on stage when you knock him off, but otherwise doesn't attack you

Yeah that's a really solid one.

I'm honestly think I'm about done with this game. I've barely played a week and I already don't want to do the dailies. It's alter feeling like a chore. And there's some things about the gameplay that I'm just not feeling, like the dodge system. Or how low the ceiling is so every interaction is all about sending the opponent up. The hit boxes are all over the place. And then there's the many bugs and network issues. Idk I wanted to like it but it's just too much.

I'll add this game REALLY needs a damn shield system instead of just dodging. And making neutral input the slow/strong attack and tilts the fast jab, while having the latter be overidden by the dash attack is godawful. I don't feel like I have good control over my character, so why should I play?

A feature to swap forward attack with neutral attack is coming in one of the next couple patches. Maybe take a break until then.

Also you can Parry if you neutral dodge, so satisfying baiting someone into one. I hope they don't ruin it with shields.

I find the timing on neutral dodge so weird. I've seen my character do their animation multiple times and it not work. I just don't get it I guess.

I was the same way the first day or two. I made a custom game with a friend and we tested the timing and now I'm pretty decent at it.

I played some Rift PVEs with Whitelens yesterday and 2 things of note happened

apparently they give you MORE than enough Mission stars to get the cauldron. I assumed they gave you exactly the right amount. I got the cauldron yesterday and the rift is not 100%

and the next point is...I got the mission for completing a rift with all of the missions. The first rift the only ones I need are the Joker ones, so its definitely not completed

so....either the game glitched for the latter point or I never needed Joker at ALL.

I'm glad I held off on redeeming him.

I really want to get a cauldron just so I can remove that damn mission of my results screen

the third one can be completed without any multiplayer if you have the right characters unlocked

The training mission wasnt completing a rift with all mission nodes complete, it was to get all the missions nodes on the boss complete

my current rotation has Superman and I DO like him! I'm glad!

theres a few things I don't like, I don't like that his ice breath isn't immediately offensive. It takes awhile to freeze them and it freezes items. so its super situational

and IDK how the fuck his heat vision works, they don't seem to hit anyone. I think it hits the ground? I believe in lore there are no "lasers", thats for the reader. its actually invisible in most cases, but that still doesn't make sense because its still going THROUGH a character, it should still be at least "landing" on the character and hitting them

and last his side super, I wish it was a hit box the entire time, its only one when he zooms into his target and not a fraction of a second before. I get hit out of it alot of the times. I think I'm spoiled by Shaggy's falcon kick though but at least you can aim it

His laser vision has a cool down. But it still let's you do the move for some reason. So if it's already on CD and you use it, it just goes through them and does nothing. Another weird decision.

It doesn't have a cool down, but you can only use it twice in the air. The 3rd time doesn't do anything.

It does very small damage if it hits when they're in the air but if they're on the ground it hits and knocks them up.

What? Then why does it have a cooldown symbol below him like every other move?

Hmm I haven't played in 2 weeks so maybe it's a new change but I'm pretty sure it has no cooldown.

Pretty sure the stacks of ice still will slow enemies at least until they fade over time even if you don't build it up to 15.

Could be wrong, but I don't remember it being this bad before they shut the game down. Its main use is usually to sweep the ground and pop up grounded opponents to get comboed by Superman, but the hitbox must be completely terrible now or something.

I've seen opponents walk right through the part of the ground that is supposed to hit and be unaffected by it numerous times, so I don't know if that's a lag thing or one of the countless cases in the game of the hitboxes in this game being horribly indicated and changed somehow for the worse.

Also, I believe you at least apply the "ignite" status effect if the "laser" part makes contact with them, but that doesn't put them into hitstun or anything.

I'm pretty sure it's always had a cooldown, just now when you use it when the stacks are at 0 it doesn't hit the ground and has a very short range. Pretty sure before the relaunch it just didn't let you use it at all when it hadn't recharged a stack.

I feel like they have to give it some big draw back since they make it kill insanely early now (at least with the sniper perk or whatever), which, don't get me wrong, is incredibly bad game design. I wish they would revert him back to the way he used to be where his side aerial actually had a decent hit box and was strong and his up-special could throw up and down.

He's just way less fun to use now and just isn't very good without teammates setting up his way-too-strong armored moves + side-special.

I did some PVPs with Supes

but ...I didn't get it

turns out, it doesn't count if you use his vacation skin.

the thing is...its technically right, I will admit its right: He doesn't have a cape

but I feel like the game is being a semantic smartass like, like...really man. Its SUPERMAN

ya know?

Yeah that is a bit annoying, but when you're picking a character or a skin, it shows the tags they have in the top right.

And then there might be missions that want swimsuit or something where that Superman skin will obviously count but then regular can't. Gotta be consistent

That one is Beach Ready at least if you get a mission for that.

After coming back from my 2 week vacation I am not finding myself wanting to play more of this game.

After 200 hours and 1000 Superman wins I think I might be done for now. The game is just not changed enough from the beta for me and I'm really blown away that they took off as much time as they did and this is the finished product.

Bummer they suckered me into spending $100 but I guess I got my money worth.

There are still some minor inconsistencies with thisyou cant see him now but Iron Giants Superman skin makes him count as a DC character when his normal skin doesnt, but then Velmas Joker graphic tee skin doesnt make her have the DC tag

I bought the beta bundle that came with 30 character tickets. I think I have like 22 left or something because characters were so easy to unlock with gold in the beta.

Considering how much games cost these days I'm fine justifying $100 for 200 hours of this game but yeah this game ended up being a major disappointment.

watched it load

...didn't feel like starting it and left the computer and took a 4 hour nap.

This game drained me and I didn't even play it.

I want to at least finish the pass before deciding if I'm gonna keep playing it
(If I don't, at least I can come back to it with the max amount of gleam I can earn to get the next pass)

but I might not even make it that far.

So it's even harder to complete now, especially if you leveled up characters while it was away (which I DIDN'T because I expected this happen. Not that it helps, because the amount of levels I have stored up isn't worth anything good anyway. Maybe for the NEXT time it comes back again).

I'm only logging in to try and complete the BP, but I'm not sure if I'll even do that. I have 30 days to get 40 tiers, and I definitely don't get a tier a day, so... I might be done as well. Even beyond that, the best way to progress the BP seems to be to spam easy Rift missions, which isn't like, fun. You know, the thing you want to do when playing a video game?

I left feedback asking for Power Pledge to be exp based rather than level based in the future.

You can easily get a level a day just from BP dailies, the weeklies make even more and they stack. Also, games give 50 BP exp per win and 25 per loss now. I haven't had much time since they changed it to play because of work but I'm still almost up to level 60. I feel like there's no way easy rifts are faster BP exp than regular games now.

Shame you guys aren't enjoying the game, I'm having a blast each time I boot up.
