theres this girl that works at the gas station by my house who im kinda interested in. Ive been chatting her up casually and yesterday I asked what she likes to do on her off days and she was like cook clean go to church do stuff around the house ect.

Im assuming this girl is Muslim because she looks middle eastern but the way she said go to church kinda threw me off because dont they call it something different? But now that I think about it I have seen her wear crosses.

I was born and raised Christian. I have a lot of respect for Islam and Im not one of those pompous crusaders that think Christianity is the only good religion and everyone is going to hell. I feel like I would definitely have a better shot with developing something with her if she was Christian though. Next time I see her Im gonna ask her what church she goes too and I guess Ill find out

A Muslim likely wouldn't wear crosses and they don't usually call a mosque a church.

As a Black Muslim in America I've been to churches before.

I also respect the church and see it as a good institution overall even if there are some theological differences. Religious tolerance and understanding is a core part of my faith

I don't wear crosses or Jesus pieces though

Not all people of middle eastern heritage are Muslim. A local convenience store is owned by what some would automatically consider Muslim but they're not. The store becomes a Christmas wonderland every year.

There's a bunch of Palestinian, Lebanese and Iraqi Christians. The only types of Christians facing real persecution in the modern day.

It's too bad that social conservative groups like PIJ that also team with groups like... you know... Hamas... are Pan-Arabist and Pan-Islam.

They call it a mosque but one might say church I guess to avoid confusion. The crosses though nah she's probably Christian.

In prison they just say going to service but I assume that's a prison thing as all the religions say it.

People acting like its far fetched for me to assume shes Muslim are reaching like the majority of families who run gas stations/corner stores dont practice Islam. For more context theres a big Islamic presence on that street and theirs literally 2 Masques there.
