Honestly maybe I would feel differently if they were outplayed to me in the 90s but I fucking love Oasis having discovered them on my own some years ago. Literally everything they did in the 90s was bomb, and a good chunk of the 00s was too.

I don't know late Oasis and Champagne Supernova got really repetitive to me, something about Wonderwall it's like how that Iris song by the Goo Goo Dolls was everywhere, but a catchy song is a catchy song sometimes. I never got sick of either. I could listen to Wonderwall now and still mark out for it :P

Its always interesting how different regions can be. Oasis is one of those bands that is MASSIVE in the UK. The number of #1 songs is staggering. All 7 of their studio albums were #1 albums in the UK. Their worldwide sales numbers are quite good. Yet in the U.S. they are mostly known for 2 songs off their most successful album (Whats the Story) Morning Glory?

It reminds me of band back when I was younger in the 80s named Madness that was basically a 1 hit wonder in the US with Our House but again they were massive in the UK and had a lot of high chart success.

Its wild how some bands can be so big in one region and virtually unknown in another.

Oasis was tremendously huge in the 90s in the USA. My alternative radio station talked about them a lot and played their songs often, but something like Wonderwall always felt comfortable. Strange that I don't remember other than Champagne Supernova a ton of other radio singles played on stations. Because they have so many great songs at least early on. Slide Away is fantastic.

I know this topic was made as a joke, but Early Oasis was super good and I think the twin brothers hate each other now, still.

I have to share this, because there are literally four official versions of this (and this isn't just rando users uploading it). I think Oasis is still trying to recoup the costs of this album that didn't so well. AH ah. Lotta drugs and lotta helicopters.

Even now, every few months I'll go through a phase where for a few days all I'll listen to while I'm at work is Madness and Ian Dury on repeat for a solid week, haha.

The only MCR I've listened to is the album 3 cheers for sweet revenge and it's one of my top tier gym music choices during cardio.

Every time I hear this song, I can picture it being the background music to a scene in one of those Adam Sandler + friends movies where MCR is playing live and the main characters end up caught in a mosh pit and struggle to free themselves, and at one point one of the characters crowd surfs to the front of the stage and sings the chorus with Gerard even though he doesn't know anything about the band or song.

In other words I think it's silly.
