The only one I really remember is Eminem got into a beef with somebody that resulted in his friend Poof/Proof? getting killed in a shooting people were talking about all over my school back then and wondering if Eminem was gonna get revenge for it

The Kendrick and Drake beef has been crazy with the back to back diss tracks, but I don't think anything will top Shady/Aftermath vs Murder Inc. Ja Rule poked the bear and regretted it big time lol.

I mean, no one has been shot yet...

I mean, Eminem once diss-tracked someone so hard they changed genres.

the average person, who doesn't listen to rap, is like, "isn't that Drake fella a pedo?"

it's too early to tell, but the beef has definitely hurt Drake's reputation.

as far as Biggie and Tupac go, Tupac beat up an infamous LA gang banger and was killed in retaliation, so it wasn't related to the beef as far as we know.

Biggie, on the other hand, was potentially killed in retaliation for Tupac's death, with the killer being connected to Suge Knight.

Has a beef ever gone intercontinental like this one? They're playing Not Like Us in clubs in South Africa and the song is #1 on Apple Music in 40 countries, I believe.

Proof and I don't think it was because of anything to do with Eminem. iirc Proof got into an altercation with someone at a nightclub, guns were pulled and he got shot

the crip that tupac beat up was in a group that was allegedly already hired by diddy to kill him in retaliation for his song Hit Em Up.

I guess, tbf, across the country, you have gangsters who get into rapping, and they diss the dead loved ones of their enemies.

because of that, they (or people close to them) end up being killed, too.

if you look into the Foolio vs Yungeen Ace beef, for example, it's tragic how many people they lost on both sides.

you hear stories all the time about hits being put out but things being worked out, but after the beating, I feel like that option was off the table.

the uncle of the guy tupac and his crew jumped admitted that diddy commissioned them to kill tupac before tupac beat him up

I mean, you hear stories like that, and how people were able to peace things up, or at least, pay so no one got hurt.

I'm just saying that if there was a possibility for that, it was gone after the Las Vegas stuff.

Yeah, it's tragic how often up and coming rappers get killed because of their ties to gangs. One that really stuck with me was a rapper named Indian Red Boy. He was streaming on instagram live when he got shot and killed (trigger warning for anyone that looks that up. It's not pretty).

I don't think the Kendrick and Drake beef will turn ugly like that though. I'm guessing they'll beef for a bit then squash it.

I rate it a 10/10 if the insult rhymes
I rate it a circle if the rhyme scheme is an insult
I rate it a bad circle if the rhyme scheme is a fight
I rate it a good circle if this is not Back2 or Back2 already happened or 2 in general

It's a mildly entertaining thing but Drake will be fine. He'll be touring to sold out venues and making hit singles in no time soon.

This. Was insane cause Ja said one line looking back and Hailey grabbed dad's Oscar and everyone aftermath shady shoved it some place in that song.

As the topic goes, its vanilla. Kendrick is a rapper and Drake is a pop star, its only worldwide due to the times.
