How many times does it need to be said that it is literally just about the hypocrisy? Not the subject matter. It's a single topic about a single bit of hypocrisy. Most people responded with a joke at first, because either that or smirking at the hypocrisy is all the topic actually demands at most. It was only when people tried to downplay or deflect that it became anything else. And even then, it's merely about the hypocrisy. Just another to throw on the pile. It's not being presented as exhibit one in some case against him.
