Israel-Palestine and Ukraine-Russia are different enough for it to make absolutely no sense to compare them.

It makes perfect sense to compare them. Two atrocious wars, but one gets universal condemnation, the other gets the "both sides" argument.

Ukraine wasn't worried about Russian nationalists pre-2014 and then stabbing random ethnic Russians in riots, for reasons of "they started it kinda".

This isn't "shit at politics". This is Hillary Clinton expressing her genuine belief. Her genuine belief is that protesting against genocide is more morally repulsive than carrying out genocide.

It's drawn from the assumption that (1) protestors, as a movement, are "rooting for hamas," and that (2) the river-sea chant means only the things you're ascribing to it.

No, she 'lost' the election because thousands of people were unconstitutionally disenfranchised by Republican local governments in swing states (and probably also Russian interference). I don't like Clinton and she's full of shit in her comments here about Palestine and the protests, but it's important not to pretend Trump's victory in 2016 was in any way legitimate (even by the warped standards of the electoral college system).
