You could check for a PDF online editor.

Also, you could check at your local library if they have InDesign, and modify your PDF from there.

there are PDF to Word converters online that you can use, which are pretty easy.

you just upload the document, and some of the sites you can use offer you the option to make whatever edits you want.

just search for "PDF to Word".

About ten years ago I used a program called Nitro to edit PDFs. Might or might not still be an option. Might have better options.

The best option is just to not use a damn PDF. It's one of the worst formats ever devised, specifically because of how hard it is to edit. Which of course was intentional because the they them their people who conspire against everyone hate you for no reason.

I would start over in word instead of adding footnote edits. Can you just highlight, copy paste any lengthy text sections?

Just write up your resume in LibreOffice, keep a copy in the document format, then export it to PDF when you need to.

Upload it to Google Drive then open with Docs, it will convert it for you. You can make changes and export as PDF

no. a PDF is basically just a screenshot. any PDF editor is just taking that screenshot and inserting text boxes into it.

Docs is the Google equivalent to Word, less powerful but free and cloud-based so you'll have the document for next time so long as you retain access to the Google account you have it stored on

Just retype it, surely it's not even two pages. Do it in Google Docs and you'll never lose it, can easily share it, and you can save it as PDF whenever you like.

If your resume is so daunting that you'll spend more time retyping it than you've already spent trying not to, you need to prune it down anyway.

One page is ideal. The longest I've done is one and about a fifth.

I mean, we are talking resume and not CV, right?

Protip, you can save it as a docx and export it to PDF if you just have to have a PDF version of it, and treat it like printing the thing--it's a copy for distribution, while the not-stupid docx version is still the document of record.

MS Paint is the tool of choice for these type of situations just screenshot it into Paint, make the modifications (using a different color text for each revision is good practice) and then print it off and start mailing it out to candidate roles.

Good gracious dude. If they want your life story, they'll call.

You just need to list your education and/or experience. And limit your experience to like three or four positions.

Anyway, no, a CV is like a resume if you're applying for CEO and they're much longer.

well I have a packet with CV, resume and reference letter that 4pages total

i uploaded it on drive and now have it on drive. it just the formatting is off so I either re write it or find a way to make new format consistent within word
